Two own goals scored by both of Derby's centre backs. Both avoidable, too.

Mason Mount proves once again how good he is. Disappointed by Harry Wilson this time, though.

Pleguezuelo - aka Pleggy - is a Spanish CB we poached several years ago but is only making his first team debut tonight. Has 50+ appearances for our youth teams and has been out on loan the last two seasons.

He's playing tonight since we're rotating three fit first team centre backs atm. Mavropanos would play instead but he's injured.

Do they really expect us to recognize these players by just looking at them? Delusions of grandeur from Spurs tbh

Gazzaniga; Trippier, Alderweireld, Davies, Rose; Winks, Eriksen, Sissoko, Alli; Lucas, Son

No Ozil for Arsenal as he's been dropped for "tactical reasons" i.e. he's been a bit shit and Emery doesn't like him.

Damn. Where is Özil going to go? Surely he has to leave as quickly as possible.

Maybe Mourinho will take him back at Madrid.

He's talked a lot about going to Turkey or returning to Schalke, but £350k p/w makes that unrealistic.

Maybe United? Laughing

Strong teams from both but I expected as much from Spurs as they're pushing for any sort of trophy and there are so many injuries that it's not really possible to put out a weak lineup (Sissoko-Winks midfield IS the weakened midfield although it's become the standard due to injury). No Kane, Davies at CB and Gazzaniga in goal actually makes this look like Poch put out a weaker lineup than Emery.

Surely he can do better than Schalke or Galatasaray. I wouldn't mind him at Bayern but Hoeness is.. eh.. not a fan as far as I can tell.
Juve?

We've left out Leno, Bellerin and Mustafi, but we're otherwise full strength. Looks like Spurs basically did the same.

We can't really to lose after that Southampton defeat, even if the cup isn't that important.

Perhaps one of the Milan clubs. They seem less likely to put off by his age and wages.

I mean I recognize some of them, sure, for example the Asian guy I can safely assume to be Son, but am I supposed to be able to come up with their names, and differentiate between Winks and Davis from their faces? Pls

Big miss from Mkhitaryan. Had plenty of time to pick a spot but tried to be too clever.

1-0 Spurs. Son. Had been coming, since most of the game was being played in our half. Our passing accuracy so far is 65%...

We ended the half strongly. Probably the better team by the end.

Difference has been the quality of finishing when presented with a 1v1 chance. No contest between Son and Mkhitaryan, unfortunately.

2-0 Alli. Game over.

Love it when we play a back three but fail to mark one player.

And I‘m right again in my opinion of Emery.
