Havertz is elite.

If we got only one player in the next couple of years, I'd want it to be him.

German Kaka.

There is nothing wrong with ( WORLD CHAMPION ) Fekir, all fake news and cheap attempts to undermine his value.

Chelsea spending that Hazard money nice and early.

£58m is a lot for a player with 15 goals in his club career eco smile

Have to say well played on Dortmund‘s side, Pulisic is obviously talented but he was a squad player and they got as much for him as they did for Aubameyang...

Weigl could be next.

Great transfer for Chelsea. Pulisic is a fantastic young player.

Sad that he's going to a club I don't like.

In fact, I'm jealous.

However, the way the deal is constructed, i.e. that Chelsea insist on outright buying him this window already and then loan him back, and are paying 65m € for a player who will have only a year left on his contract in summer, IMO suggest that they anticipate being hit with a transfer ban.

Thought this was a good read on Pulisic:

http://www.espn.co.uk/soccer/german-bundesliga/10/blog/post/3502030/analysing-christian-pulisic-and-why-big-clubs-covet-his-potential

It describes him as someone who's actually quite effective in the final third when he gets the opportunities, but his ability to bypass players with dribbling or passing is quite average. So the goal for Chelsea would be to improve those skills, and/or put him in a system where he gets more opportunities for final third delivery.

As a USA supporter, I just hope he gets consistent playing time. Can't have our best player of the current generation sitting the bench at his club team constantly. Chelsea don't have a particularly great track record with signings like this and already have some good young talent in the winger position with Odoi so that makes this swoop a little odd.

That said, feels good to have an American player go for that kinda money though.

Hazard to Madrid is pretty much done then.

Also given the predictions of @Hapless_Hans regarding Dembélé, I am confident Pulisic will be another flop from BVB Laughing

Personally think this has a bigger impact on Hudson-Odoi than it does Hazard. Chelsea would surely sign someone more established if Hazard left.

Hudson-Odoi to Bayern maybe. hmm

Re: Winter Transfer Rumours 2018/19

The annual winter madness event has started and I just made it out of Europe in time to avoid getting sold to Leeds United, though at this moment, Leeds would be a better place than the Iceberg. Actually no, strange as it sounds, I kind of missed the snow, not a lot on the ground here for this time of year anyhow. Came back after three weeks and maybe 5 centimeters on the ground. Having said that, I would not mind being bought by Malaga FC or Las Palmas though.

Anyhow, Dortmund do it again, sell a surplus player who has barely played all season for a hefty price. I like Pulisic, I think he has the potential to be a good player, I kind of even see him being the future Hazard replacement at Chelsea, I just think you could get him for less that 65Mil euro. And they dont even get him right away, he is staying for the rest of the season at BVB.

I dont know what the WWEpl teams need at the moment? Goal scorers, play makers, defensive players? I do know they seem to like to raid the bundesliga nowadays. If your team is looking for a goal scorer, probably the young Yugo from Frankfurt would be a good gamble. DO you need a box to box midfielder, you can get Kai Havertz for maybe 75mil. BVB have a couple of young defenders worth a purchase, prolly get a package deal, cheap, both for 100mil. why not buy World Cup goal scoring winner Mario Goetze if you need a creative player who also can score overtime UCL winning goals. Ok he cant run like he did a few years ago, but he is only taken out once a month for Sunday games, lots of miles left on him. BVB even have El Paco-though I think he is on loan? Dortmund could sell their whole team, they only need a fit Marco Reus to win the league.

To go back to Pulisic, he is also a good marketing purchase, North America is the new growing football market and Canada are already represented at Bayern by the new Iceberg Messi ,so why not get Pulisic out for the American fans. EPL games are on tv here a lot more than Europe, I barely saw any games in the past 3 weeks, my hotel TV showed under 13 year old, obscure cup games, rarely any kind of adult games. Occasionally a bar would show "real" games, but they have to pay for extra subscriptions.

On the Iceberg, I get every single EPL game on TV. Along with Bundesliga, Serie A and la liga games. When China or India produce a good player, he will be snapped up by a big EPL club, hell, even if he is not that good, remember Shinji Kagawa. I suppose it is kinda odd the young American was bought by the Russian crook and not American crooks.

So yeah, the fun has begun, I imagine we will see 100s of millions if not billions worth of players bought and sold, mainly in England, but maybe PSG or Real or Bayern might get into the game this winter. The latter two could use some players under 35.

If Pulisic goes for that much, we need to get at least 70M for Ünder then in the summer.

Some transfer rumours in FI for Diawara since he doesn't play as much with Carlo. Big missed opportunity that we didn't get him instead of Can but I guess he would have been much more expensive.

Love the way Diawara played with Sarri, can be a big player.

By far the biggest transfer of the January window is Naldo to Monaco. I like Naldo, always thought he was an underrated player. Maybe not the best "defensive" defender, but not bad and he seems to score a lot of important goals at least he did for Schalke, as I recall.

Now I dont know if Thierry Henry is still manager at Monaco, there was talk of him being fired before my vacay. But it seems with this transfer and the rumoured Fabergas to Monaco transfer happening any day, Monaco is looking to build a really good old timers team. PSG be scared.
