As a die hard Gunners fan I have no dog in this fight but I am, albeit with some reservations going to support Liverpool. So yeah YNWA etc, etc.

Hoping we'll somehow play far above what we've shown already this season even if its just for today but I'm expecting a completely cowardly performance and we still lose 2-0
Same. Anyway, it's a win-win I guess. Pool batter us, and still there's a positive.
And dont know for how long the board will tolerate Mourinho treating Pogba this way if Woodward and co have no intention of selling their golden goose. More of Pogbench will certainly accelerate sacking of the moaning one.

Guess can put Leno in the category of "good shot stopper but useless on crosses". We seem to buy a lot of those...

I saw Jay mention it before but Arsenal's results have been insanely flattering this season, don't get me wrong they're obviously improved and have looked very good too at times but they've been overachieving with results. Was bound to happen sooner or later.
Definitely think they'll finish outside top 4. Maybe win the Europa though.

reverse jinx attempt nullified.
pls. This is the worst United side I've seen in my life. I ain't comfortable saying we'll beat someone like Watford let alone Loserpool atm.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
We haven't improved at all. That's why it was flattering.
The only difference between this Arsenal and Wenger's final squad is that Aubameyang and Lacazette have been in great form and we tackle more. We still can't press properly, still have average attackers, still overcompensate when we defend, still can't control a game and still get injury crises in defence.

This had to come eventually for Arsenal though, you can't start slow as they do each week and keep getting results. If they want to finish in the top 4 they need to come out faster.

The "new manager" effect is starting to wear off for Emery. We'll see how he does from now, but I don't have great hopes.

The other question for me is why does guenduzi play?
Every time I watch him I'm unimpressed. I'm not sure what exactly he does well

He's really good for his age that's why. Did you see his through ball for Aubameyang who managed to miss another big chance? That's why he plays. He really is the least of our many problems.

Nah I didn't catch the whole game
Maybe I'm watching the wrong games but he reminds me of a cut rate Elneny.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Emery's basically given up on Ramsey and Ozil as starters and was forced to use XHAKA in defence today. That's why Guendouzi starts, despite being a raw talent.
It's not the biggest issue we have. Guendouzi has excellent passing, he's combative, carries the ball forward, tackles and intercepts well. Basically all the things you'd want from a CM. A world apart from Elneny who runs a lot but is very safe with his passing, doesn't do a whole lot of defending, and doesn't dribble.
He's already one of our most fouled players, which to me is a sign that opposition know they have to get very close to him to prevent him causing damage. Flattering for any midfielder imo.

The only thing Guendouzi and Elneny have in common is North African ancestry and big stylish hair. Â
Cmon man that is a lazy comparison.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Here are some great stats:
We've conceded more goals this season so far than we did in 2011-12. That was the year we lost 8-2 to United.
We've conceded as many goals as Palace and more than Newcastle.
Only won one in our last eight games at Southampton (D4 L3)
We've allowed 83 shots on goal. That's almost as many as Brighton, Southampton and West Ham. For comparison, Chelsea have only allowed 54.
