There's a mediocre movie called The Change-Up that tells the story of two old pals who switched bodies one night after lightning struck while they were both peeing in a fountain. Anyway, I'm suspecting the same thing happened to Florentino and Bartomeu.

I mean since 2017 alone, Bartomeu has spent £507.72m on transfers while Florentino has spent £237.83m (most of whom aren't legally allowed to drink in the US).

Someone, please find that fountain.

I'm happy every time Barca over pays for a player.

Apparently, PSG also were battling Barça for his signature but he chose the Catalans. He must be very good to have those two fight tooth and nail for him.

He has above average vision and passing ability, as well as some degree of defensive quality. Not a lot of other, promising, relatively young players who share his profile, to be fair. I find De Ligt to be a more exciting prospect, personally.

Yes, De Ligt is also being fought over by City and, interestingly enough, Barça.

Just a quick google search and I got a myriad of articles linking him to those two.

Barça are relentless.

How many midfielders are Barca going to line up with? They could field an entire team of midfielders

De Telegraaf reports we're ready to spend up to 90M for De Ligt as well. Mad.

Buying for the sake of buying lol. that's stupid. you need to see what your team needs and find the best player with a reasonable price. it's business. to pay more than a players worth is wrong. anybody could buy stars paying 3x their worth.

for example we could sign Hazard last season for 200ML but we waited to analyse the situation and test our current squad. now that we know Bale and Asensio are not going to be what we thought, we are going to sign Hazard. for about 100ML less of course.

I beg your pardon. That movie is a classic.

An all time poop scene in that

Which poop scene are you referring to? The one with the baby or the one with the wife?

Bartomeu is spending money because he saw Madrid 3peat the CL and he can't stand it.

Why is it so hard to understand this concept that you spend money in excess when you are trying to win something lol

What the hell are you talking about? You really think €100m difference is worth the humiliation you're facing this season? Laughing

You better not get him, as well. There are so few talented defenders out there, and even fewer young ones Mad

For now? Do you think the market will regress towards the mean anytime soon? Very Happy I don't know how one's supposed to beat oil sheik- level inflation prices, which is why I've stated previously that I think player prices may have hit a roof, but I don't think player prices will get any cheaper in the near future either.

Regression to the mean is already occurring, numpty transfers are few and far between. the average prices have increased but you look at clubs like Napoli or Lazio trying to swindle clubs for 100-150 mil for players like Allan or Milinkovic, that's not working.

I like some of the young players coming through especially in Midfield Valverde and llorente can get to a high level imo.

Flo knows what he is doing this season is sorting out the dead weight and what's useful, its not going too bad tbh team still competing for now, this summer the club is gonna enter the market for 1 or 2 big players depending how the season works out, that been the plan a good one at that.

The prices for some of these players are ridiculous still hopefully 250 mil buy a winger and cf, get James back should be solid.
