The Ronaldo thing is both ubris and club being upper confident they will have a successful transition from CR in getting Mbappe or Neymar, plus the young players we have around. It would have never happened if we had not won so much, but we did, and everyone started measuring dicks

On a very different note, I do wish our fan base understands that Perez doesn't actually own the club lol.

Post by sportsczy Sat Mar 02, 2019 7:30 pm

It started many years ago... but the consequences of....  oh 3 years of arrogance began with:

1-  Letting our depth leave and replace them with kids needing diapers
2-  Telling ZZ that he would have no say in transfers and expecting him to say ok because it's Real Madrid.
3-  Thinking that the kids would mature enough to make up for the loss of CR.
4-  Just because we're Real Madrid, we could force clubs to sell players like Hazard, Mbappe and Neymar to us.  Those clubs don't need our money.

The biggest problem that traditional elite clubs have in every sport today is that they don't understand the impact of social media:  You don't need to be at Real Madrid or Bayern to market yourself and become a world star.  Social media has been the big equalizer there.

Also, players control their own brands as a result of social media.  So they don't rely on the clubs to pimp them out. They're just looking for the best platform. The number of clubs the qualify as such a platform isn't huge... but it's much bigger than before.

Solari waited a matchday to allow the fire to be put out now he can properly reward Bale for his petulant behaviour earlier this week. OUT

3 years of arrogance while the team remained the same andwe won 3 CLs, i take it.

If we redo it again, i hope they do the same lol

Nothing wrong with the top 11... the arrogance around not preparing a transition and not needing depth.

The consequences of mismanagement aren't immediate.

We've been crap. Ramos being a headless chicken

Bale only 11 touches of the ball. Hey ho he is obviously more useful than Isco. What do we know

Benz also stinking up the place

Yeah, we've been pretty awful. Fun fact, Kroos losing the ball in midfield cheaply lead to Barca's goal which leads to a point: our midfield has been turning in shit performance after shit performance and I feel this is not being addressed properly at all. Like Nacho's shit season.

Conetois doing his job nicely btw, best player currently. Um, Dani cannot handle Dembele and yet, Bale insists on not helping out. Vini cannot shoot the ball lol.

Should have joined me, I haven't watched since December. Plus when you have matches like the north London derby, City-Bournemouth, and Utd.-Southampton, Lazio-Roma there is plenty of non-depressing football to go around.

We were absolutely dreadful. Good God

Modric and Kroos passing sideways. Benz coming deep leaving noone in the box. Vini and Regui are about the only bright spots right now in this sorry mess of a team

To start, only Valverde, Asensio and Ceballos were warming up then everyone chanted Iscos name and he went up to warm uo and came on ahead of Ceballos. Proof that our coach is absolutely clueless.

He is definitely gone in the summer. Good riddance, take Bale with you

We deserve every shred of humiliation we're getting. When you're content with mediocrity and refuse to spend on improving your decaying team like the other elite teams are doing, you shouldn't act surprised when your ass is being handed to you every time you meet a big team.

I have no sympathy for cheap and unambitious clubs, including my own. I hope Florentino has enjoyed getting absolutely dismantled by Barça this season. 3 meetings, 3 defeats and 10 goals conceded.

Enjoy being cheap, you delusional f**k.

despite this dose of reality, wins against ajax and valladolid will blind many in the pro madrid media into thinking all is well. hire a coach and a technical director and give them the right support to build an actual team/project. the only time you should have the inmates run the assylum is if the inmates are g.o.a.t-ish type players. without a cristiano type figure, these players shouldn't be calling the shots.....

Sigh, while the 2nd half was better, we were on zero so technically, everything higher than zero is better. This is a real humiliation that really needs to be addressed but I doubt it would. We lost, on aggregate, 10-2 across 4 games vs Barcelona without Lionel playing good or being influential. Our current manager's big tactical adjustment was clapping harder and we are dependent on a noob of an 18 year old who still can't control his shot, cross or pass.

Seriously, Madrid press needs to start putting men to the sword.

The only player i'm happy with over to Clasico's is Reguilon. what a fighter.

Valverde is a natural centre mid. He gives you more in midfiled. I think he is a complete box to box midfielder.

I still don't know Ceballos' strengths

However, both Valverde and Ceballos should both start.

Modric had a better game today. But he shouldn't be starting.

What about your favorite Benzema who started 4 games against Barcelona this season and did nothing?

Pretty much confirmed that with out CR he is nothing.

To be fair to Ramos, he was our best player against Ajax, and most of our players were really poor against them. He looked a lot more energetic in that game. Might just be a bit of fatigue from our hectic schedule. Our old knucklehead turns 33 this month, after all Proud

In Ramos' defense, there was 2 v 3 there. Rakitic made a run from the midfield while the fullback was overlapping.... and you can't leave Messi. That's why he was caught flat footed.
