Liverpool have joined Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in the transfer battle for Bruno Fernandes, according to reports in Portugal.

Free-scoring midfielder Fernandes has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said to be looking to finalise a move after the Nations League finals.

But according to Record, the Sporting Lisbon star is now wanted by arch-rivals Liverpool and Champions League runners-up Spurs.

His agent, Miguel Pinho, is now set to fly to London next week for showdown talks with several interested parties to decide where the future of the 22-year-old Portugal international lies.

Sporting Lisbon appear resigned to losing Fernandes after his stunning season, during which he bagged 32 goals from midfield in all competitions.

They will demand a £71million fee for their captain, with no shortage of interest from the Premier League.

Liverpool will play Norwich under the Anfield lights on the opening weekend of the 2019-20 Premier League season.

Don't really like those fixtures. All I want is some signings so we can get the two initial trophies ffs

We desperately need more players. We just cant rest and say we won a cup, so we have a good team and that is enough. I see that we are going to participate in so many games, so we will have a long season. It will be absolutely stupid of we dont sign at least two more top quality players. I am talking same quality as Salah or Mane.

i told you guys before we only buy top players after selling top players and klopp is not going to sell any of our stars so you can forget about signing any player over £15mil. last season liverpool spent more on players than at any other time in our history. in that same time the club made the biggest profit in the clubs history.

I don't think FSG will slack at this point after doing so much good (and hard) work. Whatever player Klopp needs will be signed.

I think we have to recognize (and appreciate) the difference in philosophies of Klopp and Pep. Unlike Pep, Klopp doesn't want to stack-up players and is eager to try young players for back-up.

While I feel there will be a signature signing, most of the inclusions (GK, LB, CB, RB, L/C/RF) will be utility type.
