Gabriel Jesus on camera "the VAR is SHIT!"

Why are people complaining about VAR here? The problem is with the handling rule. If a goal is scored, unintentional or not, and an offensive player has the ball hit their hand, the goal is off.

Thank god this happened, because maybe people will actually talk about this and discuss how fucking stupid that rule is.

You can find my comments on here as soon as that rule was released, I said it was incredibly stupid. Happy to benefit, but Man City deserve that win. Robbery.

Everyone who wants to take power away from referees and try and make things like handling less of a grey area, you reap what you sow. This is the game they want.

Technicalities.

If the goal was given, it would have been forgotten in 2 weeks. It was that insignificant. It wasn't like a clear penalty not called or something.

I was furious with the new guidelines about handling (not even the travesty that is this "unintentional OR intentional offensive handling" rules) at the women's world cup, I'm furious with it now.

You cannot turn handling into a black and white decision in this game.

BTW, lost in all of this, Liverpool's luck continues Proud

Lol, certainly kills the mood, but VAR has eliminated a lot of injustice, this match was unlucky for Man C, but they strangely mentally got affected and perhaps doubt creep into their minds after the Moura goal, like it was destined to end 2-2, u just write this stuff up!

So funny Pep thought he wins it and hugs Aguero to say all if ok, I guess thats the lucky part of the unlucky situation Very Happy The competitive between Aguero and Jesus must be to tight though, asking a lot from Pep to keep both happy.

Lastly wanna say Zinjenko (spelling?) definitely is the weaklink in the team, not good enough defensively at least.

Clear and obvious only checked. If it's not a penalty but not obvious then the refs decision is not overturned.

It's fucking shite rule and the sport will die if it isn't changed.

The Norwich game we won 4-1. If you think Norwich should have scored 3 then Liverpool could have had 8 with their chances they missed.

It's absolutely ridiculous to complain about VAR in this instance. As CB said the rules were changed and now ANY kind of handball by an attacking player that leads to a goal being scored equals a foul by the attacking team. Which means that it was a very clear and correct decision by VAR.

You can't blame VAR for shitty rules. Complain about the rules.

what happens if Spurs counter and they go on to a score a winner themselves, would they would have checked it then?

My problem with it is that the refs up top in the studio still come off selective as to what decisions they try to check
