Marcelo hurt his back. Out against PSG at the very least.

Does that mean that we'll draw against Bayern in the Champions League again? hmm

A great opportunity for Mendy to show his worth.

All these injuries are bad, but at least they're forcing Zidane to give playing time to players who, under normal circumstances, wouldn't play.

Also, PSG will play us without Neymar and Mbappé. We are in no position to complain Laughing

Not worried about Marcelo tbh because Mendy was great against Villarreal, so Zidane will have no problem playing a 442 or 4231

I am under no illusion about Zidane not winning the CL again. It will happen.

If you're serious, I'm willing to make a bet about it, brother hansie.

1 month avatar and sig of your choosing if he wins the CL with Madrid this season.

What do you say?

Uff, I have to think about that.

You know I'm not fully serious as I honestly consider Zidane a mediocre coach at best and I haven't been shy to express this, but I'm sure you can understand that at this point I'm seriously fucking paranoid about Zidane's Real winning it all every time no matter what.

So yeah, I'm kind of serious too. It can happen. Who's to say it can't?

Hell, let's make the bet.
If only so you can give me an avatar and sig to suffer from in retaliation for me admittedly being on your case a bit obnoxiously all these months and years, and then we can call it even.

Let's make it official in the Gen Sec. A good occasion to create a betting thread.

Ferland Mendy injured again. Groin strain.

ZZ actually commented that he's annoyed that so many of his players are getting injured early in the season. The new physio's days may be numbered...

I don't think he is the problem. Lyon are NOTORIOUS for having a very crummy physical program... their players aren't in top shape believe it or not. So Mendy getting injured early is not that huge of a surprise... given that this physio is known to be super demanding.

I just think that, like anything else, you need a physio that fits the squad. Most of our guys are soft and/or older players that need a program that caters to their limitations. I think ZZ expected to get a much bigger overhaul than he did... so the style of this physio won't fit.

How did France win the WC? We were just fitter and stronger than everyone else to go with our talent. We beat teams up in the 2nd half of games. Many of the players credited this physio for getting them in that kind of shape.

I don't think our players are physically gifted enough... or young enough... to handle the intensity.

So if this is the squad you're going to compete with, he's not the guy.

Marcelo down with a hamstring injury

No Marcelo, No Mendy, no Nacho.

Draw/Loss vs Granada is inevitable now

Would not be surprised in the slightest if Carvajal plays on the left while Vasquez plays RB ahead of Odriozola/Militao

Wales vs Croatia. Gareth Bales stays on the pitch until the final whistle blows, despite being injured. Modric also has to get carried off the pitch due to injury. Two teams, 22 players (discluding bench), only the two who happen to play for Real Madrid are in need of medical inspection. Expect to see Vasquez back in the starting XI. Expect Rebekah Vardy to be the mastermind behind it all.

Bale, Marcelo and Hazard will miss the Clasico. The former two we can do without but losing Hazard is tough especially since ZZ has not worked with Vinicius when he could've. Now he has 2 weeks to find an alternative. I already know we'll play the 442 but we might overload with midfielders and have Isco instead of Hazard and Modric instead of Isco hmm

Vinicius, Lucas, Brahim are out of lineup so it's either Rodrygo or Bale unless they go with a 4-4-2. I think the latter is very doubtful and Rodrygo has just arrived back from Brasil.

So let's see how he performs when fans are sure to give him a royal welcome after his flag display antics!

I predict another questionable injury will come about.
