Luiz is one of the most mediocre CB going around big clubs i have ever seen, an absolute scrub

The original Danilo. Two scrubs carried by their passport and powerful agents.

Liverpool too good for Arsenal. Can't say I'm surprised or disappointed.

Actually, I thought Arsenal showed some encouraging signs that there's a half-decent team in there. The effort was a lot better than it has been in these games. That alone is a good thing.

if you actually saw the game you would know that it can't get much worse than that

completely dominated them, missed a penalty, had 2 other penalties denied clearly, conceded a blunder etc

go watch piemonte calcio ffs

we will comfortably be fighting for top 4 this season

I'm a fan of Luiz but today underlined just how prone he is to total brainfarts. Nice for us, tho. A bit annoying that we completely stopped playing in the last 10 minutes and messed up the clean sheet, but whatever. All of our players look pretty much in-form, which is great, means they're not lacking motivation after the CL triumph.

Pepe is a baller.

He can run off the ball and he's really good at running with it. He's a fast inside forward with end product (today aside lol). He isn't a stiff winger either like Bale or Sane, he's actually capable of turning with the ball meaning he's comfortable in central spaces and isn't just a roadrunner.

The personality he showed in his first big game was very impressive. Arsenal have found their Salah IMO.

He hasn't really had end product in the other games either though. In fact, you can find my comment from the other day saying that I thought he was impressive except for his end product.

I'm sure that will come along though. I'm not criticizing him [yet]. It's so early that it would be very harsh to be critical of him right now.

He's generally been very lively, incredibly quick, technically sound, and overall I've been pretty impressed with him. Except for the end product. But as I said, I imagine that will come

I have no complaints about that tbh. Normal in penalty box.

No complaints either here tbh since there is plenty of pushing and pulling both ways, but the gall of VVD to be...pulling Guendozi down in such a blatant fashion and then turn to the ref with his arms out in disbelief like he was the one obviously getting fouled is a little annoying to say the least.

Like I said. I agree all of that is generally what happens in the penalty box, but if anything VVD was the most blatant offender here, so for him to complain about it is a bit rich

Seems to me like Pepe is his own worst enemy. Great in close quarters but a rich mans Adama Traore in total. He'll fit right in the PL if defenders go close to him but he'll struggle if he has time and space with the ball like he did with VVD later on. End product needs a lot of work. (I saw him a bit since he was my uni towns ex player)

I already had my doubts about him with him being a penalty merchant in the Ligue 1 along with Luiz who is and has always been much much worse than Kosszeboss. Ceballos (if used properly, seemed like an absolute jobber compared to Guendoozi in the LFC game) and maybe Tierney can impact this team once they adapt or get fit.

That said it's the hope that kills Arsenal fans lmao, I'm a proper pessimist and I still think we'll lose to Burnley next game. I don't understand how they are optimistic with such sudden nascent changes.

I think this game always comes way to early for Arsenal in the season. 3-4 gameweeks down and it would much closer.

Yesterday's game was too fast and intense for Ceballos. You could see him struggling to keep up after about 30 minutes. It's to be expected since he's not played many games and he's new to the league. He'll get used to it with more games.

That said it's the hope that kills Arsenal fans lmao, I'm a proper pessimist and I still think we'll lose to Burnley next game. I don't understand how they are optimistic with such sudden nascent changes.

This is a club that's been stagnant for a few years. The simple act of signing a few players and clearing out some of the old players is enough to give fans the hope that things will get better. I believe the fans can get behind a club that is actively trying to get better.

Of course there are doubts about the new signings and whether they'll improve the team enough, but there's satisfaction in having all the problem positions addressed in the summer, which hasn't happened for a long time. Arsenal have had summers desperately needing strengthening in certain positions yet not doing it for some reason, so this is an instant improvement. It creates an expectation that the new management will be more proactive than the previous one.

Bournemouth playing 5-4-1 at home and 1-0 down inside 20 minutes...

Looking like a free three points for City.
