I'd recommend dropping one of Modric and Suarez for the first week at least and finding a defender who gets more goals/assists than Skrtel after our preseason performances. :p

I think I've got Suarez and Skrtel on the bench x)

Probably should check out how the points system works... if it's best to pick only defenders who assist and score, might just well go with a bunch of full-backs x)

The following is the rules for Scoring Points

During the season, your fantasy football players will be allocated points based on their performance in the Barclays Premier League.
Action Points
For playing up to 60 minutes 1
For playing 60 minutes or more 2
For each goal scored by a goalkeeper or defender 6
For each goal scored by a midfielder 5
For each goal scored by a forward 4
For each goal assist 3
For a clean sheet by a goalkeeper or defender 4
For a clean sheet by a midfielder 1
For every 3 shot saves by a goalkeeper 1
For each penalty save 5
For each penalty miss -2
Bonus points for the best players in a match 1-3
For every 2 goals conceded by a goalkeeper or defender -1
For each yellow card -1
For each red card -3
For each own goal -2
Red Cards

If a player receives a red card, they will continue to be penalised for goals conceded by their team.

Red card deductions include any points deducted for yellow cards
Assists

Assists are awarded to the player from the goal scoring team, who makes the last touch before the goal is scored.

If after this touch, an opposing player touches the ball outside the penalty area altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist is given, except if this intervention directly results in an own goal.

In the event of a penalty or free-kick, the player earning the penalty or free-kick gets an assist if a goal is directly scored, but not if he takes it himself, in which case no assist is given.

All assists are reviewed before the points are updated at the end of each day.
Bonus Points

The three best performing players in each match according to the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index will receive additional bonus points. 3 points will be awarded to the highest scoring player, 2 to the second best and 1 to the third.

Bonus points will be awarded on the Monday morning after the weekend matches are played. Any matches played on a weekday night will be awarded on the following morning.

Examples of how bonus point ties will be resolved are as follows:

* If there is a tie for first place, Players 1 & 2 will receive 3 points each and Player 3 will receive 1 point.
* If there is a tie for second place, Player 1 will receive 3 points and Players 2 and 3 will receive 2 points each.
* If there is a tie for third place, Player 1 will receive 3 points, Player 2 will receive 2 points and Players 3 & 4 will receive 1 point each.

Here goes our leagues standing after the first week . .though i am a little confused because some of the points are not correctly recorded, i guess Red's & mine numbers are not correct, as i saw in the our overall forum league. What about the rest of you? Let me know if your points are the same. .although won't be able to correct much . .not in my hands! ! Razz

Kudos to Beautifulgame for taking the lead. .& Dont Tread on Red for a close 2nd! Very Happy

Nice update Fahim, I just think you should take a new screenshot, the league standings are now different than in the picture you posted.

Did it have something to do with the extra points one can a bit later on get if he has got players who earn Man of the Match places (1-3) ?

Anyway, I think the points are correct.

So, BeauzyGame and DontYaTreadRed pulling off a bit of a lead after Gameweek 2!

By the way, whose team is King Kenny's Army, tied with me for 4th? :p
I also don't know which one of us is Roni Yako.

And I guess our H2H league isn't working coz there's been no games there?

Top three maybe, but you're not catching me. Razz

(Now watch all of my players tank the next few games. It will be a run worthy of Birmingham City... too soon?)

Without doubt! ! Already thought of it but didn't post anything cause i myself haven't created an account or team yet!

However, i would also like to apologize for lack of interest in this because LFC's performances were too depressing for me to keep upto day with everything related to football.

Anyhow, will be uploading the group detail as soon as possible!
