I absolutely love this guy and really hope Madrid don't let this guy slip, I'll leave this thread open for all his Castilla and first team performances and news this season.

Morata is pure #9. He's good at holding up the ball and in the air. Pretty good technically.

Jese is a speed demon. I think he does better with a bit of space and crashing in from the wing.

Haven't seen Jese enough in a traditional #9 role to see if he can do that well.

Jese is more of a CR7 type player to me in terms of how he attacks the field.

Jese Rodriguez
“I feel very happy for scoring my first goal with Real Madrid. All of my team mates have congratulated me but have also told me that I still have a lot of work to do.”

“I have to keep working. We played a great match despite the heat and we are all very happy about the way we played and the affection we’ve received from our fans in China.”

Different players different positions, Jese plays very much in the same role and manner that Ronaldo does for the youth teams either internationally or at club level.

I do want Morata to be our 3rd striker though

is he going? i thought the club blocked him?

tbh, i dont mind him going, at this point we arent doing such a great job with our youngsters, so if wenger can make him into cesc 2.0 and we poach him after, it's all good to me.

my kind of player.

Jese is nowhere near the same league as Neymar. One is shining with the Castilla team... while the other is the superstar of the Brazilian league and the Brazilian NT. Not that Jese can't become very good.

We don't take many chances at Madrid. We usually just buy the best player we can for every position.

jese has not spot on the team when Neymar is signed... i think you're overrating Jese by a lot at this point dude. Brazilian league is very good. I put it on par with the league in Portugal.

jese has no spot, but will in the future

neymar though will certainly leave if he doesnt become a starter in 2 seasons

i am not overrating the kid bro, ive seen him enough to suggest this, he was the player of the tournament in the u17 tournament, outshining the likes of delafoeu and such

man the kid will be a future star, if he keeps his head up and continues to grow

imo if neymar comes to real, his growth will become halted, the only team i see him grow in is arsenal tbh, that says a lot about him as a player

I'm not going to argue... but being the star of the u-17 tournament is a long, long, long ways from moving out Neymar or CR7. I mean light years. Look at the best player awards for the FIFA U-17 WC over the years (see link, bottom of page): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIFA_U-17_World_Cup

Other than Cesc Fabregas, there's not one WC player on there. In fact, i don't even recognize most of the names.

I'm not saying jese won't be good. But better than Neymar? You can't even compare at this point. In 2-3 years, we'll see where the kid is at.

Dude was supposed to be a world beater and never made it out of the gates lol.

Btw, CB pairing is Kaboul-Sakho for France against Chile, with Sagna and Abidal on the corners. M'Villa and Diarra are going to be paired in the middle. Talk about a physical and bruising defense with uber-athletes lol.

I remember that tournament and I always thought Anthony Le Tallec was really good and deserved that award more. Also, that under 17 showed the world the Maxi Lopez, you know, the one who went to Barcelona and spent like 4 months or something. And I think Tevez took part in the tournament as well...
