Spanish super cup: Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona; 1st leg

Well when I thought about it I would really prefer a player like Di Maria to be our super sub, he could affect the game if things aren't going our way in the 2nd half.

Oh and if Coentrao preforms amazingly he will cement his place in the team.

Coentrao would probably be subbed on later in the game.

Playing him from the start would be an unncessary risk on mourinho.

Di maria is proven against barcelona aswell.

I think mou goes with the guys who played the most in the preseason and are the most fit/ready. Coentrao starts.

Khedira - Alonso - Coentrao/Di Maria
Ozil - Benzema - Ronaldo

Couldn't remember when Jose has ever played Di Maria there before.
Maybe he meant to choose either Di Maria or Coentrao to play on the wing, not there.
Maybe we'll see Pepe in the mid again, or maybe we play 4-2-3-1.

Just imagine Ronaldo going to the right wing, this formation doesn't mean it has to look like that but just a picture of where players will spend most of there time on the pitch. Di Maria/Coentrao will go higher or lower in the pitch when needed, kind of filling that destroyer role but also an immediate counter attacking role.

That's why I feel Coentrao will start since he was a fullback [defender] so he could fit that destroyer role a bit. He also comfortably could launch a counter since he's fast.

What I think of the starting lineup:


Benzema is gonna play, Mou said it.
Marcelo is gonna play, becouse he said he still hasn't picked his RW (and the options were Di Maria or Coentrao) so most likely gonna be Marcelo on LB
Ronaldo is 100%, only way he is not gonna play is if he is injured
And Ramos is back, btw me thinks Pepe is gonna be in the midfield becouse he said he is deciding between Coentrao and Di Maria, which is the RW, and obviously if pepe was in the defence he wouldn't need to think about it becouse Coentrao could have just played in the midfield.
