IMO, that is a very wrong way to look at it. There are club legends, and there are game legends. For example, Baggio is a game legend but he ranks low among the legends of the clubs he played for.

It is not like the prime Ronaldo played for us. Prime Ronaldo is far different than fat Ronaldo. Technically we had the bad version play for us, even though the body once was sublime, when it wore the Milan short it was not and that is what it should be judged for.

Not to mention Van Basten who was simply something else.

Well earlier he had made a list as you had suggested, with Maldini and Baresi, though he didn't offer a third name. His idea was merely an after-thought.

For Schalke, Manuel Neuer comes to mind first. Joined the club at age 5 and stayed there till this season. Legend in the making.

For Bayern:
Franz Beckenbauer, Sepp Maier, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm
(Before you ask - Gerd Müller only joined Bayern at age 19, Oliver Kahn at age 25, KH Rummenigge at age 19, Paul Breitner at age 19)

I'm listing the above as no one here will prolly ever have heard much about any RWO players ...)

Very. It's hard being a defender and playing alongside the Kaiser, since pretty much lived in his shadow. Nonetheless an amazing player.

Raul joined us at 15 years old, but the OP says BEFORE 15. Anyway, I think he still counts. Atleti didnt ever give him a contract or anything.
