Marcelo isn't the best but he certainly warrants some recognition for his fine form so far and also how he really turned his RM career around. That last part is really the underrated one. In fact, I personally don't care if people consider him the best, once he continues this form in a RM shirt for the foreseeable future...

He is the best in attack, and he improves in defence day by day. At the end of this season, he won't have rival.

Marcelo is prob in the top 3 wing backs in the world and without a doubt the best left wing back in the world because that's the position he plays.

He has not played as a straight left defender for quite some time now

Lahm easily, Lahm has been consistent for years. marcelo has been good for less t6han 8 momnths. Had a horrible start, so bad Mou appearenlty wanted to get rid of him. And say Europe please. Being the best in a position in Europe doesn't make you the best in the world. Europe.

Marcelo, the best LB - Many Madrid fans have certainly said this.
Khedira, the best DM - No-one has said this.
Ramos, the best CB - Madrid fans have said he is the most in-form, but not the overall best.
Benzema, the best striker - Again, no-one has said this.

Madrid has the best players in every position - Once again, no Madrid fan has suggested such a thing. Madrid fans, bar one or two, accept Barcelona as the best team in the world. Many also accept Ronaldo as inferior to Messi, Khedira inferior to most Barca midfielders, etc. So we have never claimed, at least seriously, to have the best players in every position. Also, we can't be repeating it like a broken record when we've never said most of these things in the first place...
