Really poor from Williamson this time around. His overall captaincy and bowler selection was pretty off today. Bowling the 1st 4 overs or something with pacers against England is never a good idea especially when they have hard hitters up the order. The key was to bowl spin and get them out without allowing them to get set inside the 1st 3 overs. Inexperience showed big time.

Got nervous when Sodhi took two in a row and the run rate slowed completely, but fortunately Root/Buttler is a very good duo to have finishing games.

Jason Roy was brilliant. New KP in the making it seems.

The final will be a challenge. Very different pitch. We won't just be able to power through like we've done today.

I'm going to miss the final though Sad

New Zealand were about 20 runs short of where they should have been. 170 would have been a hard chase, even with Roy's innings.

And it was mentioned earlier, but they missed a trick not bowling more of Santner and Sodhi in the power play. Roy doesn't get those 49 runs if he's up against spin.

Anyway, looking forward to WIndies/India later. Not sure who I'd rather have in the final.

Indian bowlers and fielders way to go.

Kolkata will be a whole different ball game as its a slow wicket. If WI can go and play like this then fair enough. But I hardly think so with the no. of slow bowlers England possesses its going to be advantage England.

Rahane scored 40 in 35 balls in such a pitch. Almost 6 overs, least run rate among any batsman who faced 15+ balls..... That was the difference.

I will become a sore loser and say that West Indies got incredibly lucky....3 life's for Simmons ffs

The catch where the fielder caught Simmons while touching the line was quite fortunate but the two no balls was not luck, just bad bowling. Nothing wrong with being bitter about this loss though, I would be too if the roles were reversed.
