First professional football match you went to?

Do you remember?

My first football match was at el Estadio Tomás Adolfo Ducó in Buenos Aires, Argentina, home of Club Atlético Huracán. It was a Torneo Clausura match between Instituto and Huracan, it was freezing and the seats were made of stone, we lost by a clearly offside goal, but it was still a great experience.

2005, they came to Toronto

It wasn't the squad that went onto the world cup but there was Grosso, Toni and then a bunch of Serie A notables and Lippi was there of course

Never been to an actual pro match

I have seen a semi-pro team vs the Chicago Fire reserve team, which was pretty cool, I guess.

I have a lot of time to watch plenty of them in my life, which I will do

The league back home isn't pro (lol) so even though I went to see loads of matches there I haven't seen a pro match live until much later.

I was in Belgium during Euro 2000 though

I remember going to Highbury once, but can't remember which game it was or how long ago it was.

First professional match I went to that I actually remember was Southend vs Scunthorpe at Roots Hall. The stadium is a bit of a craphole, but it was a nice experience all the same.

Arsenal and Ipswich town, 94 or something. Barely remember.

Pops took me to see Germany-Bolivia at Soldier Field in Chicago at the '94 WC.

So much noise and so many different languages. Didn't see Klinnsmann's goal either as I could barely see the field. Had absolutely no idea what was going on lol.

I remember Platt scoring and then Bergkamp got us to the EL with that beast of a goal.

We dont have fully professional teams here at all lol. So I guess the National Team wouldnt count either. So never?

Feb 84'

City 1 Newcastle 2 Old Division 2 game at Maine Road.

Kevin Keegan scored for them and Steve Kinsey scored for us.

Little did i know I'd have to wait 27 frigging years.

My dad took me cos he supported Newcastle.

Ajax- Panathinaikos! My dad picked me up early from my primary school's christmas dinner to go to the match, and I remember that everyone was jealous haha.

There was the actual match, and a match with "the old team" with Cruyff and Zwarts etc. playing. Remember it so well still haha. I was five I think?

Have been to most Ajax home games since, save for the last year and a half, since I am studying in the US.

I was 8 years old and my father took me to a New York Cosmos game. Saw Pele, Beckenbauer and Carlos Alberto... they were all very old. But i just remember the stadium being completely full and everyone pointing every time Pele touched the ball. I actually thought Chinaglia was the best player that day and said so to everyone's dismay lol.

Russia v. Brazil 2006 at the Luzhniki stadium in Moscow.....I was looking forward to watching Ronaldinho but he was injured so didnt play. I still got to see one of my favorite payers of all time Ronaldo score.

Brazil won 1:0 thanks to a Ronaldo goal.....It was a deflected goal from a Roberto Carlos shot.....It was one of the most boring games i have seen in my life but it was so worth it.

My first ever experience at a stadium was Mexico vs USA at the Fullerton Stadium in Orange County. Can't remember the score I think it was 2-2 or something. It was somewhere between 90'-91'.

first and only game ive been to was celtic vs CCM earlier this year. game was dull but the atmosphere was great because all the celtic fans really got into the game, was pretty gcool when they played "you'll never walk alone" before the game. Had really good seats right on halfway because there wasnt a guard on the entry to the bay, we only payed for general admission tickets and ended up in reserved seating
