Neither... Valdes is one of the most important players on the team and Abidal is generally a rock.

Weakest link right now is our forwardline. Pedro and Villa have lost form, Afellay and Sanchez have been out, Cesc hasn't been great yet.

That too yeah. I know players never are bigger than clubs, but this is not the case here. He scores like 40% of goals in barca, and saved them hundreds of times.

Villa. I don't know how clear it can be that he doesn't like playing on the left.

Without Alves there is no natural width in that side.

Long diagonal balls to the flanks could potentially cause them a lot of problems.

I dunno why Barca fans expect for Fabregas to go on a goalscoring spree or something. He's never played so far up on the pitch at Arsenal.

^I don't think that any barca fans is expecting that from him though, we just thought that he would be much more involved in trying to dictace the play but as you said he is playing at a much hihger position now..

We dont want goals, thats the issue.

He is scoring alot of goals, but that wont mask his flaws with many fans. Its everything else that we dont like.

His best game actually was on the weekend, where he didnt even look like scoring.

You guys have to realize that you can't change the style of a player. Villa just doesn't like to play at the wing.

Dependence on Messi imo and poor form of Villa.

That is completly irrelevent. He plays his best when he is central. The quality of the goal has no bearing on the performance he gives. He dosen't like the left and that is showing.

David Villa is not a weak link.........Messi always drops insanely deep and allows him to move into his natural position in big games.

I'd say individually their weakest player is busquets......most AM's would have thier way with him one on one, but he fits the system perfectly so team wise he is far from a weakness.

Overall they have many weaknesses however no one can exploit them because they have no possesion.

These problems though, are minor.Easily alleviated through neat high pressure and great anticipation from all defenders + Busquets and posession.But if someone needs to exploit an area...thats where it needs to be

At Spain NT he's the focal point of the attack. he's a bit like Benzema, he likes to roam arround and create space for himself and others. at Barca he's told to stay just on his flank and create space for Messi.

Not entirly true though, the 3 forwards tend to interchange position with each other and messi also tend to drop deep..

Well it has pretty much been said that the weak links are the forwards bar messi.

Sanchez & Pedro just recovered so it might help ease the situation for them.

Villa starts on the wing for Spain but he still operates in the centre.

He's much more restricted at Barca, look at various heat maps for when he plays with both teams. It becomes clear that that is the case.

Maybe people will actually start to realize how good Pedro is and how important he is to Barca and Spain????

Him being out for the last month has hurt and with Villa he was fine last year in his role and he is just in a slump.

I mean if people actually watch all of Barca's games instead of there CL games then they would know Villa has been set up from all angles and is just in a slump.

Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, and everyone gets Villa the ball a lot and gets him in great positions he just isn't finishing at the moment. The same exact thing happened in the second part of last year he will break out of it.

It's funny that no one said he was out of position in the first half of last year when he was finishing his chances.

Barca's aging back line. But I really don't know who can replace a player like Puyol I just don't know. ORRR Dani Alves who will need to be replaced in a couple of years if he leaves or if WHEN he declines with age.
