hes been playing in midfield alot lately to hide the fact that hes too shook to bare the pressure of putting the ball in the back of the net oooooo

oooh please easy on rooney...the dude was deployed behind the striker towards the end of last season....meaning he helped a lot in midfield,,who doesnt remember his passing abilities.....those nice long balls to the wings???

I said earlier this season that Rooney was playing the best football in the world behind Messi. He was fantastic in the early part of the season and that was with the same team. I even said I was sorry for ever doubting the caliber of player he was.

The people saying he's playing more midfield now, so what, he can still score from there or set up goals for teammates or have a huge effect on games like he did earlier this year, it's not just the goals it's his all around play.

I can't even remember the last time United score more then 1 goal in a game. Just because he's played in midfield a couple times doesn't mean he should have no offensive output.

For people defending him, I just don't get it? Why can't you just admit he's going through a rough patch? It couldn't be more obvious especially when you want people to believe he's up there with the top couple players in the world. He's not any where close to that kind of form and there really is no denying it.

Its typical rooney

Will score 15 goals in 10 matches and then wont score a goal in the next 10. Same every season really.

But right now its not his fault

Man utd doesnt have a midfield, nevermind creativity down the middle. The only way he can score is from young's crosses which are inconsistent, not to mention rooney isnt a great header-er of the ball.

nani is probably the most creative in the team atm but he is more of an individualist

Rooney will start scoring soon, lets hope just before the Euros though Very Happy

Thats been the way since months

United's wingplay can destroy teams, but only when it works well and when the wingers are in form. When it doesnt work, united are out of ideas.

He scores goals in spurts.If he ever wants to be recognized as a top top player,he needs to be more consistent and maintain his form throughout the season.
