In 2008 modric amazed me at euro , and i was hoping him to join arsenal

Nasri came instead ....

I know we were after him but We had Cesc,Diaby,Song,etc so Wenger would have prob shoved him on the wing.

Is not a big loss, I dont really rate him that high, that just me.

The media has propelled Modric to Xavi status, when in reality, he's on par with Diaby.

I really havnt seen anything special about him tbh. Modric might be better than Arteta when it comes to creativity but Arteta is solid defensively.

Mata is flashy, productive & consistent. Mordic is not known for the last two quality.

I'm going to be the odd one out and say that I do like Modric a lot and think if we ever had him, he'd be one of our best players.

I wouldn't call it a missed opportunity, really. At the time he was emerging from Dinamo Zagreb, Cesc Fabregas was rapidly rising to stardom in our midfield, during a time we only played with two midfielders instead of three. By the time we had switched to using three, Modric had already signed for Spurs.

Modric does a lot for Spurs. If he wasn't in there as the deep-lying playmaker, they would seriously struggle to get on the attack as often as they do. There is an analyst on The Score's "Footy Show" here in Canada (for the Canadians on here) who absolutely drools over the guy and has detailed video analysis on just about every Spurs goal showing how crucial Modric is to getting the attacks going. Maybe I've just been convinced across all the times I've watched that show, but I do rate Modric.

Then again, none of the analysts on The Score ranked RvP in the top 3 players of the EPL season when they gave their opinion recently, so maybe I shouldn't listen to them

Anyway, at the time he signed for Spurs, we were fully stocked in his position, and to be fair he did take a little while to settle in. At the time, Nasri was the correct guy to go for, even if many of us dislike him now.

i'd take VDV instead of Modric

but damn, i regret that wenger didn't get Mata, classy player, and he was heavily linked with us

Should have gotten him.

Spurs have him now.

successful dribbles is the mitigating factor...modric is great at sliding past his man and delivering the ball out wide or over the top precisely!

his passes are very much different to arteta, they are different players who play for different styled clubs...

Me? No.

For a long time, being the La Liga fanboy and Barca lover I am, I never really cared for the EPL. Still don't. I watch saturday morning football (EPL) but that's it. However I know people personally who like Tottenham. Naturally, since I had no one in the PL to root for, I began to support Tottenham. Also, who else would you support as someone in my position- who (no offense) is not really an Arsenal fan

So that is the story of my Tottenham liking-ness

Now I'm not a full out supporter by any means. I don't watch them every weekend. I don't attempt to watch them every weekend. I don't get overjoyed when they win (i get happy) and I don't full out "FFUUUUUU" when they lose ( i get sad). But I do watch a fair amount of their games and I semi-support them. I'm trying to watch them every weekend now though.

But...yeah.

As for my sig and avatar- I'm just a total Modric fanboy and he's underrated around here, so as per forum rules, if someone who is good is underrated, it is the job of someone to make him overrated. He is now Godric. He is now best player in EPL (although RVP actually is, I believe Modric is a firm second easy).

So if you guys wanna hate me. I'm fine with that. You Arsenal peoples need a man like me to hate around here
