How highly do you rate Arsenal's defence atm?

Sagna and Vermaelen are the only players im worried about,im sure ibra,pato and boateng will perform vs whoever the CB duo will be come February

Unless we buy a LB in January, i'm pretty comfortable with Verm on the left and Kos and Mert in the middle

I'm not a big fan of mertesacker myself, and as a overall left back I'm beginning to prefer Santos to Gibbs, he contributes to the team better imo.
Our defence is good enough for players we have it's fine, the approach we take in playing our attacking football we're going to let in goals no matter who it is at the back.

Partnership Vermaelen and Koscielny is solid while non injured Sagna and non injured Silva are pretty good to to handle Milan attack

Better than alot of people think.
I think the worry for Arsenal will be the pace of Pato vs the CB.
And Ibra, one of the few strikers big Mert can't dominate in the air.

many people thought he would butturns out he is the best man to man marker at arsenal, he also clears headers well
Merte has 78 caps for the German national team and he is just 26, wonder why people think his slowness stops him

Right now he's starting because Vermaelen is taking the left back slot.
So you get:
Djourou Mertesacker Koscielny Vermaelen.

Pato's pace will not be a problem if Koscielny and/or Vermaelen are fit.
I'm proud of our defense, and if people don't rate it, then I don't mind, because I know that they've been doing an excellent job lately.

the koscielny - vermaelen partnership makes my c*#k hard. i wish the whole world knew how boss koscielny is.
if mertesacker had any speed and a bit more aggressiveness in the air we'd be flawless in defense. our 2nd string wingbacks are great too, but too bad we dont have ANY wingbacks atm
