I can assure you that black people can't be the only victims of racism. However, when one looks at history, one could have a slight understanding of why it gathers so much sensitivity among black people. I personally find the race card gets pulled out for the smallest of matters though...

What Evra said is not racist. He called him a South American- which Suarez is. If he followed it with a swear word, then that would def be regarded as racism.

Suarez belittled Evra by calling him "Negrito" which translates as 'little black man' and it was used in a deregetory manner to wind him up.

Big difference.

the most ridiculous part of your argument is that you (and the FA) have commandeered a foreign word and applied a new meaning to it as you interpret it, which is completely irrelevant to and independent of the actual meaning of the word.

for example, it would be like if someone called me "mateo", the spanish equivalent of matthew, and i interpreted it to be offensive because it sounds like "mate" (which is not used like "dude" in the us, but refers only to a sexual partner)... and then filed sexual harassment charges because of it.

cultural ignorance should not be grounds for prosecution. how many times do native spanish speakers have to tell you that there is nothing offensive about "negrito"? why do you insist on using your own made up definition of the word? ffs youre not even translating "negrito" correctly!
