As long as you are not the worst at anything you should be good. lol. We still lie last in chance conversion for example. Explains our lack of points this season.

Almuina is at 60 k lol. Diaby who never plays is at 60 k and I think he may have gotten a raise since he is always injured.

It depends on what constitutes as a defensive mistake, as technically any player in the side can make an "error". Djourou hasn't been great but he hasn't made many howlers unlike, say, Mertesacker. Even Koscielny and Vermaelen, our supposed best defenders, have made some howlers this season. Not to mention the constant changing of fullbacks, errors from the keepers and other outfield players... all adds up. I doubt you'd be able to pin it on one player.

At least Djourou had a decent season last year. Almunia hasn't had a decent game in almost three years

60k a week? :facepalm I'd feel better standing on the edge of a cliff and throwing that money into the wind

Diaby when bought was supposed to be the new star player with lots of potential (he can still be if he remains injury free), i can understand where the lots of money he earns came from

but boy oh boy does Altintop get money because Floro doesnt know what to do with all of it

@lex, Almunia was your starting goalie for some time and he is alot older as well

When Almunia took over Lehmann's role as our first team keeper, he was actually pretty good. What the fuq went wrong? He went from one of the best keepers in the league, to a player who would get picked last on the playground by school kids

i agree with that, it was a mere tong in cheek comment lol

it reminds me of when Albitroll plays and everything is blamed on him when our whole backline is supposed to be blamed. It depends on who you'd like to use as a scapegoat tbh

ive seen Kos make mistakes as you mentioned but nobody would blames him since he really has upped his game this season being arguably your best defender, whereas the games Djourou has been played in he hasn't really impressed many hence the constant whining of him by pundits/gunner fans...

i think(imho) Squillaci has had a lot of great game but nobody would admit that since he has more bad than good ones so the reputation of him is already made/set

lol, cracked me up

probably the bleach he constantly uses made him worse

tbh, once he became your first keeper he was great, then you had a(then) great goalie fabianski who was sniffing down his neck and he probably faltered under pressure
