The chance of City getting anything out of this just took a dive.

I am afraid you will never catch a demotivated Tevez, each week passed is a date close to the summer mercato Very Happy

LOL, but seriously he looked quite meh against Wolves (almost like he didnt care)..... Aguero scares me more.

In any case i hope Man U win as its more likely we get a win or a draw then i would think.

Also i dont know who said Webb is the ref because he isnt, Andre Marriner is the ref.

Cant see utd winning. This season they lacked quality and their defense is vunerable, they have been flat track bullies demolishing teams that are too poor to expose their weaknesses. In europe this has been exposed both in the europa league and in the champions league where their record was terrible. Fair enough they beat city in the fa cup, but city played 10 men nearly all game, and utd were still a whisker away from throwingg away a 3-0 lead thanks to their poor defending. City can easily outclass utd and they have a better defence, the only question is do they have the bottle, tthey coulda collapsed after their defeat to arsenal but fairplay to them they stayed strong and its utd that have started showing their weakness

United are used to matches like this. They've gone toe-to-toe with Chelsea over the past few years with matches situations like this. I like United in this one. I think they'll win it but will draw another match before the end of the season. Won't matter though.

United 2-1 City. :coffee:

What Sir Alex need is a wake up call to bring out the cheque book and sign a top class creative goalscoring "winger", a top class left back and of course MODRIC!

Wouldn't be surprised to see Mancini packing the midfield with defensive players come 30 April. Laughing

goal.com put out an article saying Mancini might use @Balotelli for the derby.

The Battle of Manchester - Page 2 Empty City vs. United

Post by Amar Mon 30 Apr 2012 - 5:22

Surprised there aren't many threads cause this may be one of the most important PL matches in years.

Huge match in both of the club's history as well.

As it stands:

Man Utd 83 +54
Man City 80 +60

A City win and they are top on GD with games against Newcastle (A) and QPR (H) left. A United win and they would basically win the title as they'll need 1 point from Swansea (H) or Sunderland (A).

Predictions?

I am predicting parked bus from Man United, 4-5-1 with Park starting, Mancini to play De Jong ahead of Nasri, with Silva, Kun and Tevez as 3 offensive players with Toure supporting them as most offensive CM in the line-up. 3-1 for City, hopefully I won't be :vagi:

City were deserving of this victory and quite frankly should have won by more.

Looked like to me that SAF and United came from a 0-0 which is always stupid.

Well done to City they will probably go on to win the title.....

Congrats Thumbs up

There on a wave of optimism after beating Utd i really cant see us beating or drawing them despite how good our home form is.

I am not reverse jinxing either, i think City will have too much for us after this result.

City were by far the better team and deserved the win. Congrats to them.
