Well, Neuer is 50% better than the Titan... And it means he saves every 3rd penalty during the playing time.

I would love to find stats for penalty shootouts, too, but I guess that will get tricky.

had to bump this... alves saved 2/4 penalties today in a shootout, one with his foot as the guy was trying to chip it in... will post a video when i can Laughing

W00t!! Yann Sommer just improved his penalty killer stats - and that in the 91st minute of the 2nd leg of the CL qualification match Basel vs Molde. If he wouldn't have saved it, Basel would have been eliminated, but now they are through!! banana

Penalties in open play or penalty shoot-out pens? (The statistic here doesn't list penalty shoot-outs as I sadly don't have the complete data about such)

From shoot-outs, and they are also friendlies which I don't think should be counted. Still, saved 3, 1 post, 1 goal (almost saved), 2 wins.

I checked the data at transfermarkt.de. You mean Miguel Pinto from Atlas Guadalajara? Then he saved 5 from 15 (33.33%). I added him to the list now. Is he Chile's number 1, btw?

if only he could distribute he'd be barca's #1 ahead of valdes. His reactions are amazing. I started noticing it last year in the copa del rey matches.

Hm. So either transfermarkt.de are wrong or the others... I shall try to investigate that.

Frankly, as they have listed even the minute and the guy who shot them, I tend to believe transfermarkt.de a bit more than just the numbers without any further info.

gutted for Molde.

In both games they were better than Basel, so unlucky for them and Ole.

Hope they have a successful EL campaign now.

Abolutely. Basel played maybe 30 minutes in the second half - before that it was only Molde. No one could have complained if they'd have kicked out Basel. Although I'm of course happy that Yann Sommer made good for his stupid mistake in the first half. ^^
