Re: John Obi Mikel
This is also the first AFCON since 1998 where a Chelsea player has not participated (our loanees will but no one from the first team)

Re: John Obi Mikel
Huge congrats to Mikel who has just got British citizenship!
The last part is very interesting, with Mikel now counting as homegrown, I can't see Jose selling him anytime soon.
http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=100724Nigeria international and Chelsea of England midfielder, John Obi Mikel, is now a British citizen.
The Super Eagles’ A-list player had waited patiently since he applied for the prestigious British passport last year and was delighted to get a positive feedback from the relevant authorities last week.
Mike became eligible for citizenship, having spent more than eight years in England following his transfer to Chelsea from Lyn Oslo of Norway in 2006.
Before the commencement of the current English Premier League season, speculations were rife that Chelsea’s manager, Jose Mourinho, wanted to sacrifice him to free up a foreign quota spot, but this is now a thing of the past.
The last part is very interesting, with Mikel now counting as homegrown, I can't see Jose selling him anytime soon.

Re: John Obi Mikel
Yea he's been here for 9 years, that's almost much what Cech, Drogba, Lampard, Cole, but obviously didn't really have the same impact as they did.
What's your opinion on his career with us? I thought he was always a good and reliable midfielder but never made the it to the next level, for example what Matic has been doing since he joined.

Chelsea lose Mikel until April after surgery
http://www.goal.com/en-sg/news/3991/premier-league/2015/03/03/9465832/chelsea-lose-mikel-until-april-after-surgery"Mikel had a little surgery on his meniscus. We are expecting him to be out for about a month - one week is already gone. There is not too much optimism or pessimism."
"I would say [he will return] first week of April."

Means we might actually win games instead of invite more pressure.

Ofcourse!
Havent you read my detailed explanation in the general section; thread titled 1 + 1 = 5?
In a nut shell, its never 11 vs 11 on the field and with the profile of players we have, we cant take advantage of situations where we are one man up, because on paper we are 11 players but in actual, we're playing with 8.
Oscar was terrible! Even Ramires was better.

Wow, there is a chance Mikel could leave in the summer.

Re: John Obi Mikel
Mikel is willing to move from Chelsea if he isn't given a starting spot under the new manager.

I think we'll see him leave, then.

If pep were our coach you know he'd make at least one of him and Matic into a CB
But to answer your question; no
