This has to be a joke.

Real Madrid are searching for a goalie who can help Iker Casillas and according to the Spanish press, the new target of Blancos is the goalie Manuel Almunia, who is expiring deal with Arsenal.

Real Madrid are eyeing Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia.

Almunia is off contract next month and will leave the Gunners after five years in London.

Real coach Jose Mourinho is seeking a 'new Jerzy Dudek' - an experienced keeper, on a Bosman, with international experience - and Almunia fits the bill.

Almunia, however, has declared he'd like to stay in England next season.

And yes it's a joke we are in the market for a keeper if and only if Adan decides to leave. The press have basically put every keeper's name in the pot and spewing the names out at random atm.

Not really, we arent.

AS put together a list of 30+ GKs who have a profile similar to Dudek, and his name was on that list.

We are looking at the Spanish market, Andres, Roberto, Claudio Bravo, etc...

This is no surprise, Real Madrid being a Basque hub with Iker, Xabi, and to some extent, Higuain will want to bring in the Basque wall that is Almunia.

Stupid Wenger has forsaken this skeleton of saves that is Almunia and has put some Polak bum named Szceny between the sticks instead of Almunia.

So I ask Real Madrid to rescue Manuel so he receives the recognition he deserves.

Madrid, Almunia is suffering at Arsenal. He's a Veyron being driven like a wheelbarrow. He was kidnapped by Arsenal. His dream is to play in the Madrid reserves and, hopefully, be promoted to the chairs just behind the bench one day. Get one over Barca and recruit this awesome footballer for pennies before Guardiola and co. find out he's on the market
