More on Palacio and Destro
Genoa have confirmed that a deal is in place with Inter over the transfer of Rodrigo Palacio.
“There is an agreement and also a handshake. We could also discuss a possible swap deal, we’ll just have to wait and see.”
The Marassi supremo did however state that the future of Mattia Destro, co-owned with Siena, was still in doubt.
“His situation is not clear,” he added. “There is the co-ownership to resolve with Siena first. I paid €5m for Destro. The transfer whispers confirm his value, but we have to see what is best.”
The striker, 12 Serie A goals with Siena this term, is wanted by clubs such as Inter, Juventus and Roma.
Stanko Could Leave
he Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Dejan Stankovic could end his relationship with Inter this summer.
Although still tied to the outfit until June 2014, the Nerazzurri are ready to release a player who earns €3.5m a season.
The Beneamata are trying to lower their wage bill given that they have failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League
Poli set for permanent stay
Inter are expected to complete the signing of midfielder Andrea Poli from Sampdoria for a fee of around €6m after his loan stint came to an end.

Forlan to brasil, stankovic out, chivu to galatasarray, lucio out, Cordova retire, maicon to city, and pazzini to Napoli or lazio (maybe).
Guarín signed, poli signed, palacio in, coutinho, Jonathan, and mariga back, mateo musacchio is close, Lucas maybe, isla close, lavezzi maybe, destro probably... The tide is turning my friends

JONATHAN shouldn't even be considered!!
we MUST get Isla.
I would much rather have Sakho, Benatia or Silvestre than Musacchio.
Musacchio played for a horrible Villareal side this season.

Villareal were horrible because they couldn't score, not because their defense sucked

Stanko: im not leaving
“I’ve read that I’m apparently thinking of a move to America, but there is no truth in it,” the midfielder told Sportska Centrala.
“I have a contract at Inter for another two years and I’ll certainly remain. I’ve spoken to boss Andrea Stramaccioni and we are on the same wavelength.”

Here is what Gazzetta thinks will be our lineup next year:
Gazzetta's #Inter 2012-13: J.Cesar; Zanetti, Samuel, Silvestre, Isla; De Jong, Guarin; Palacio, Sneijder, Lavezzi; Milito [4-2-3-1]
f*cking stupid if you ask me.

if we get Destro and an LB like Kolarov, i think what Gazzetta predicted is a pretty decent team, CL worthy for sure.

Re: Summer 2012 Transfers Thread
Its not that its a horrible team...Its an ok team
I just think its f*cking infuriating that this club repeats the same mistakes over and over
If thats our team what happens to Poli, Obi, Alvarez, Coutinho, Castaignos?
Sold? Most of them, probably....And then they'll go on to have success at other teams and we'll rue getting rid of them, and spend more money on mediocre replacements
Its enough to make me want to harm myself. It really is.

Re: Summer 2012 Transfers Thread
You know we cant afford to buy both Palacio and lavezzi unless we sell or trade in one or more of our youngsters and we're not strangers to this madness. IMO Poli and Obi will both be sacrafised in those deals (genoa presedent already mentioned he's interested in a part exchange) especially that we have so much depth in that position with combiasso and stanko still with the team. The good news is if we're playing with 3 AMs that means both alvarez and coutinho will get alot of mins now we're playing in the EL especially that Sniejder is no stranger to the treatement table.

Re: Summer 2012 Transfers Thread
Inter ponder shock move for Giovinco
According to lol.com
The Nerazzurri have yet to approach the forward's current club or his agent, but they are closely monitoring the Italy international's situation.
Giovinco is currently co-owned by Parma and Juventus, and a decision on his future will be made this summer.
Juventus intend to re-acquire the remaining 50 per cent of the player's rights, before cashing in on the 25-year-old by either off-loading him permanently, or including him in a deal that would see Napoli striker Edinson Cavani move to Juventus.
However, there's also a chance that Parma will win the bid for Giovinco's full economic rights, thus giving the Ennio Tardini side the freedom to negotiate with any interested clubs.
Inter sporting director Marco Branca is a keen admirer of Giovinco, but realises there is little chance Juventus will sell the attacker to one of their arch rivals.
The Giuseppe Meazza side appear to be ready to including youngsters such as Luc Castaignos, Coutinho and Marco Faraoni in a potential deal if Parma manage to acquire Giovinco's rights.
But i see this as a counter Destro move. You leave our player and we'll leave yours
Atletico Mineiro make formal approach for Forlan
Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro are refusing to give up on their bid to sign Inter forward Diego Forlan, and have made a lucrative offer to tempt the veteran to return to South American football in 2012.
Mineiro have been closely following stories that Forlan is unhappy at San Siro, and president Alexandre Kalli revealed that he has submitted a formal offer to the player's representatives.
"I have made an incredible offer because I want the player, and I want the best for Atletico," the chief explained to Estado de Minas.
According to Superesporte, the club have offered the player €6 million over a three-year contract, a figure that would put him among the highest-paid players in Brazil. As well as this figure, it is believed that the Galo would have to pay around €4m to Inter in order to finalise a purchase.

I think Poli should be a permanent XI while Obi and Guarin rotate, although it'll most likely be Cambi - Stank for most of the season. If we do end up getting De Jong i think Obi will most likely be the one Inter sends off which would be pretty dissapointing imho.

Sources have confirmed that there was contact made between Inter management and Sahin’s agent, Reza Fazeli late in the afternoon. Fazeli also met with Adriano Galliani as well. An attractive midfielder that has a lot of interest especially from the two clubs in Milan.

Costs absolutely nothing and is more than good enough to qualify for the CL
Palacios is a good depth signing (now that he cut off his rat-tail)

Inter have offered Pazzini to Lazio as part of Zarate transfer
The Nerazzurri signed the Argentine forward on loan from the Biancocelesti last summer and although he initially struggled at San Siro, Zarate began to find his feet following the arrival of Andrea Stramaccioni as coach.
Inter retain the option to sign Zarate on a permanent transfer but the 25-year-old's brother, who is also his representative, has revealed that they are now trying to persuade their Serie A rivals to accept a player-plus-cash deal.
"This is a complete stand-by phase," he explained to Lalaziosiamono.it. "We have not yet had contact with Lazio or Inter.
"From what I know the two clubs have tried to reach an agreement by including a player who interests Lazio. Inter have offered Pazzini but there is a problem with the player's wages, which are quite high.
"The talks have come to a halt, but I'll soon have to talk to the two clubs to figure out where Mauro's future lies."

If Pazzini and Forlan leave... then we need to buy another stirker... or Castaignos needs to step up... or Longo, but I don't think Longo is ready yet...

Longo was surprisingly decent in his 10 minute introduction in the last game.
We'll most likely sell him, he'll shine at another team, and we'll try and buy him for 3x the price. That's the beauty of the Inter Philosophy.
