Alessandro Del Piero says he has still not decided where he will be playing his football next season after leaving Juventus.

The club legend will quit the Turin giants this summer after the club opted against renewing his contract that will expire in June.

“I’ve not chosen any path yet, but I’m looking for the best solution for myself and my family,” he said at a Press conference to launch a new brand of sunglasses.

“I’m looking for something stimulating. The choice of League is not important.”

Del Piero has been paired with sides in England and America. “Obviously my future will not be in Italy with another club, that is something that is not in my plans. I’ll certainly move abroad.”

The 37-year-old joined the Turin giants in the summer of 1993 from Padova, before going on to break club record after club record, as well as winning every major trophy in Italy and Europe. He ended his stint this season with a Scudetto.

“I’m living amongst the clouds right now,” he continued. “I still don’t realise what has happened, but I know that I have always given my all in everything which I have done.

“Winning the Scudetto was the greatest sensation for me and you all know how much I like to win. I’ll remember this difficult season with great joy because it was tremendously beautiful.”

Del Piero waved farewell to his faithful fans at the Juventus Stadium on the last day of the campaign when he scored in the 3-1 win over Atalanta.

“I’ll never forget when I said goodbye to Turin, it sent shivers through me,” he explained. “I’ll never stop thanking those that allowed me to develop such a relationship with the supporters. I’ll still follow Juventus very closely.”

In Del Piero’s honour, the Turin giants are ready to retire his No 10 shirt in a move similar to that of Milan who don’t use the No 6 or No 3 out of respect to Franco Baresi and Paolo Maldini.

“I’ll say again that the opportunity to dream of wearing the No 10 shirt at Juventus should not be taken away from anybody,” the 2006 World Cup winner added.

“That jersey gave me so much and I hope that whoever gets to wear it next has an even better career than myself.”
