Why create another award in which only Real and Barca will dominate and the whole of Serie A will be snubbed

I propose we have a 2 step process: First let's have a nomination round. Then let's have a voting round (anonymous, through a poll of the 10 most nominated peeps). For the first part each person must nominate 3 people and rank them from 1-3. 1st place will be worth 3 points, 2nd place 2 and 3rd place 1. The votes will then be compiled and the 10 people with the most points would go on the voting round.

I think the simplest way to go about this would be to set up an online survey you guys can vote on. I could set it up and compile the results.

What defines a forum user of the year?

Like, I can think of some of my favorite posters who aren't the most well known, and IMO are have the most quality posting when they do.

But on the other hand, you have guys like Mole and Nick who have very high post counts and deserve to be up there too for 'forum user of the year'.

I guess I'm asking for a more precise definition.

Unless the definition is just totally broad? Just 'best poster in all categories in your opinion' kind of thing?

Another category could be the best poster in each section, with a separate thread going in each. That, or we could focus it more on just clubs and have each major club's fans decide the best poster amongst them.

Once we come up with a final format and compile the survey for the nominations I will ask the mods to create a global announcement for the thread, which will be able to be seen by all sections.

I'm personally against dividing awards by section, given that some sections have 50 active users while others only have 5. Doesn't seem exactly fair to me. Besides, a forum-wide award would be more representative of the entire forum.
