You really think Ronaldo is the only one with superstitions? Not sure if serious...

And it's not 'stupid stuff'. A lot of players have rituals, and if they feel they'll play better if they do them, then good for them.

I'll make excuses for anyone who has rituals, if they think they can play better then so be it.

I googled, and I found some.

'German forward Mario Gomez once forgot to sing to the national anthem in the youth team, he scored a goal in that match and hasn't sing along to the anthem ever again.'

Do you think Gomez is stupid too?

'John Terry, former England captain, always sits in the same place on the bus, always listens to the same CD en route to the stadium, and he always ties a band three times on his socks.'

'Johan Cruyff
The Dutch legend used to slap his goalkeeper Gert Bals in the stomach while he was at Ajax, and then spit his chewing gum into the opposition's half before kick-off. When Cruyff once forgot his gum, in the European Cup final of 1969, Ajax lost to Milan 4-1.

'David James
In James' own words, "many footballers have an obsessive routine that goes way beyond normal." That just about sums up James' own superstitious regimen (or "mental machinery so complex it could fill a page," as he once described it) which began on the Friday night before a game and continued right through to the full-time whistle the following day.
As well as not speaking to anyone, it would involve going to the urinals, waiting until they were empty and then spitting on the wall.'

They are all odd, but believing in a higher power does not make you stupid.

I don't find odd rituals stupid, I just find a player who is so feminine have a ritual about his hair, people don't hate CR7 out of jealousy just a lot think he is pretty stupid.

Changing hairstyles is just so pathetic and we all know Christina is obsess with pathetic fashions and his look, so I don't think it's a ritual.

I think it's an excuse Madrid fans can come up with...

So changing your hairstyles is believing in higher powers, at least we've a positive story of what led to those other players rituals..

Like Mario Gomez story is quite understandable...

I don't really see why it's pathetic. If Iniesta decides to wear a mohawk at half time because he thinks he can score 5, then so be it Very Happy

Positive story to others? The only positive story was about Gomez. I finished reading the article, apparently he also always uses the urinal situated furthest to the left in the washroom.

I just find it odd that if it's a player you dislike it's pathetic, but if it's a bayern player it suddenly becomes 'understandable'.

Oh I've just found one very similar to Ronaldo.

'Gary Lineker
The former England striker never took a shot at goal during his match warm ups because he didn't want to waste a goal. Then, if he wouldn't manage to score in the first half he would change his shirt. If the bad run extended, and he was failing to score, he would resort to getting a haircut.'

Looks like we found out who Ronaldo took inspiration from eco smile

Changing his hairstyle? Doesn't he listen to the tactics at half time or is the plan pass it to Ronaldo and let the show begin... Oh yeah, I forgot, Ronaldo hasn't put on a decent show for seasons now.... :coffee:

he has, and always will be useless for portugal. They rely on wingers, he needs someone like ozil to feed and have things like penalties to score. I cant believe they actually made him the captain years ago....same with messi being a captain

No it isn't Laughing It's just something his defenders came up with to justify it and it's been repeated so incessantly, people now think it's fact
