Petr Cech, Ross Turnbull, Hilario, Jamal Blackman, Paulo Ferreira, Sam Hutchinson, Branislav Ivanovic, David Luiz, Gary Cahill, Michael Essien, John Mikel Obi, Josh McEachran, Ramires, Frank Lampard, Kevin De Bruyne, Marko Marin, Eden Hazard, Gael Kakuta, Yossi Benayoun, Romelu Lukaku, Todd Kane, Nathaniel Chalobah, George Saville, Lucas Piazon, Patrick Bamford.

Is all the players flying out to America today. Ashley Cole, John Terry, Florent Malouda, Raul Meireles and Fernando Torres will join up later on. Ryan Bertrand, Daniel Sturridge, Oriol Romeu and Juan Mata won't go as they will be at the Olympics.

Nice to see Chalobah make it in just in time, but kind of surprised to see Milan Lalkovic not brought along. He seems to divide opinion quite alot...

Maybe he will be sent on loan soon. I don't think any of the youngsters on the trip will be going on loan.

You gotta give him credit. Cahill, Courtois, De Bruyne, Marin and Possibly Mata and Hazard have all been his signings. I think he has done a great job.

Eh, those are no-brainers really. It ain't hard to pick out excellent players and say 'buy them'. What he needs to be good at - finding good players that aren't necessarily well-known or exposed yet and good-enough players to use for depth who wouldn't cost an arm and a leg - he sucks.

Although, credit where it's due, for as poor as his senior-level exploits have been, that's how great his youth activity is. If you think of Piazon, Feruz, Bamford, and now the Musonda's - just to name a few very recent ones - he's really done very well.

Marin came out of no where, is cheap and could be fantastic. Cahill is also a cheap player who is great.

And both the Genk boys were never going anywhere else and as far as I can tell no one else rated them. Now look at them.

His Youth signings have been great too.

Much better than Arnsen anyway.

Marin was VERY well-known a year or two ago, but faded slightly after an injury spell. Cahill was already in England and just about every top club was looking at him.

If you want to see what a quality person in his position does, look at Newcastle. They find quality players who aren't well-known, fit into their system, and can easily afford. Now, I realize we're in a position right now that we don't necessarily have to do that as a means of subsisting like they do, but that's still what his job should include more of.

I agree Newcastle are doing a better job than us but we are doing a better job than before and some other clubs too.
