Juve confirm pre-season squad

Antonio Conte has called up 28 players for Juventus’ pre-season training retreat in Val d’Aosta.

New signings Kwadwo Asamoah, Mauricio Isla, Nicola Leali and Lucio are all set to attend, as too will full-back Reto Ziegler, after returning from a loan at Fenerbahce.

Sebastian Giovinco, who returns this summer from Parma and the seven other Juve men to have been involved with Italy at Euro 2012 are not listed, as they have been given extra time off to recover.

Conte has also named 10 players from the club’s youth academy.

Goalkeepers: Leali, Storari

Defenders: Caceres, De Ceglie, Lichtsteiner, Lucio (from 14 July), Masi, Ziegler

Midfielders: Asamoah, Isla, Marrone, Padoin, Pepe, Vidal

Strikers: Boakye, Matri, Quagliarella, Vucinic

Youth Sector players: Branescu, Citti, Rugani, Garcia Tena Pol, Magnusson, Untersee, Appelt, Bouy, Schiavone, Padovan

Not many suprises, but it appears that the Boakye transfer is official and he will get his chance to make an impression with the first team squad or be sent on-loan afterwards.

Surprised to see Ziegler's name
Very excited to see Isla and Asamoah play
Along with Appelt and Bouy from the youth team

He is not new Chiellini but since Conte wanted him to be with the squad must mean something + he'll be here only for for pre season and then he'll return to his club Pro V. to play in Serie B on co-ownership

I'm suprized for this guy Bokaye.Conte must know his abilities since he is called for pre season and maybe he could stay in Juventus for next season. He could be our young striker that we want ( Destro ).
