Re: Is Kaka a brazilian Legend?
I would say so
Although not to the extent of other Brazilian legends we know today
Definitely a legend of AC Milan.

Re: Is Kaka a brazilian Legend?
Without a doubt a AC legend for what he did in 2007.
But did he do anything to get Legend status in the Brazil colours?

Re: Is Kaka a brazilian Legend?
Not really because since 2007, Brazil have won like 2 major titles (Confed Cup and the Copa America) and Kaka didn't even play in that Copa America so he hasn't really made a major contribution towards the national team and justified why he should be considered a Brazilian national team legend.

Re: Is Kaka a brazilian Legend?
I certainly wouldnt call him a 'Brazilian Legend' but for sure one of the best players to come out of Brazil.

Not for me... Doesn't touch what the other modern Brazilian greats achieved (The three R's) and I don't think he was ever as good as them either.

Don't think he's a legend per se, but he did help them win a WC.

No he didn't, he hardly got on the field. I think he was a mere youngster then.

He was the "wonderkid" in '02 breaking through.

He just came on as a sub in one game in 2002 WC.
He has done close to nothing really in comparison to other Brazilian Legends' contribution to the NT.

Re: Is Kaka a brazilian Legend?
I think hes a Brazilian legend more in the sense that hes one of the best talents to come out of Brazil in a while more then being a legend for doing great things with the NT ie Ibra has won onthing with Sweeden but is a legend of Sweedish football

Not Maldini status. Maybe Van Basten status.

Yeh, for Milan he's a legend, however for Brazil not really. He'll be remembered as one of the best Brazilian's though.

Re: Is Kaka a brazilian Legend?
My views on this subject. He will be regarded as a great player to have come out of Brazil, but not a legend for his country. Simply didn't achieve enough with them.Surag wrote:I certainly wouldnt call him a 'Brazilian Legend' but for sure one of the best players to come out of Brazil.

Brazil went into dark ages in Kaka's prime, IMO. After Ronaldo, there haven't been any players I'd even consider naming Brazil legends.

When the name Brazil comes up I look at WC performance, which has been underwhelming by Brazil standards.

Still think he was better than Ronaldinho. But not really a Brazil Legend. Top player but that's it.

Re: Is Kaka a brazilian Legend?
I wouldn't say Ronaldo was the last Brazilian legend. Ronaldinho won everything there is to win for both club and country.
