I saw the game too and Verratti was really the standout PSG player for me. The kid is a great talent. For Chelsea, it was Marko Marin, whose close control and dribbling/turning really is Messi-esque.

He has talent and loads of potential to become like Pirlo. But, you can see he is inexperienced. He has to improve a lot to reach Pirlo's level in terms of understanding the game.

he was good for his age, and very well adapted to his new team. thanks for sharing. He makes nice quick short passes, a couple nicely placed long balls, but nothing too spectacular, but more than expected given the circumstances.

Wish he hadn't signed for PSG. I don't get to watch Ligue 1 very often but really want to so I can see more of him. His composure on the ball is unreal.

I was there, he was incredible. The stadium was almost 75%+ Chelsea support, so nobody was quite happy with me singing his praises but I still got my point across. Kid is definitely a gem.

Seems to have that Pirloish calm when in possession, but lets see if there is a real end product in a few years or so. Must be hard for Juve to see him rise to fame if he does that.

If Pirlo is the only player you have seen that is comfortable on the ball then you need to stop watching football games outside serie A. Xavi, Scholes, iniesta, Zidane, platini, Zico, Maradona, Messi, Alcantara, Silva... You're telling me Verratti is more comfortable oon the ball than just these guys?
