Hardly ever performs? What is the basis of this? He was injured for a year and prior to that he was one of Valencia's best players, just like he has been in the past few weeks despite the club going through a tough transition.

Also Perú are not one of the worst teams in south America Laughing

they became third in Copa América losing only to then-champions Uruguay.

If he doesn't get injured he'll be massive for us next year in the World Cup. He's been nothing short of superb for Valencia and Argentina lately, yet you see two billion threads about Oscar and Ramsey every day and absolutely nothing about this guy.

not really tbh, he's been pretty dodgy this year for us... keeps making stupid turnovers and misplaced passes, and doesn't contribute as much offensively as he used to... then again he probably got used to playing further up under valverde and now basically has to play the parejo role (i can't believe i just said that) so hopefully he adjusts soon

He hasn't really been allowed to contribute a lot to attack as he's playing deeper, even then he's been Valencia's most dynamic midfielder (shame Costa left). And I always prefer him deeper due to his superior technique and passing.

The one thing he needs to improve is covering ground. I agree he has made some out of place turnovers but misplaced passes? Don't agree with the latter.
