Using players from any era, Non-Spanish Madrid vs a Non-Spanish (Non La Masia too) Barcelona with 3 subs, one defender, midfield and forward.

Other rules are: Players chosen must have roughly played in positions you have put them in and thus making it as realistic as possible.

Also, to exclude Barcelona having players like Ronaldo and Maradona all players must have played over 50 games.

Heres mine to kick us off.

------------------------------Hesp----------------------------

Dani Alves------------Koeman-------De Boer-------------Abidal

---------------Yaya Toure-------------Neeskens--------------

----------------------------Cruyff------------------------------

--------------Rivaldo--------------------Ronaldinho----------

----------------------------Etoo--------------------------

Subs: Reiziger, Deco, Figo

Excluded.

I had various different ideas about this thread. I settled on this one, but it can be changed later on.

For now, lets exclude these types.

Right. A little dysfunctional defensively but it can be made to work.

Steilke is one of our all time greats, was originally a DM but got moved to sweeper, played much in the same fashion as sweepers like Beckebauer or Matthaus.Great positioning, would cover Carlos well, and I know you don't care but would lead the line well also.

Won La Liga player of the year 4 straight years from 79-82.

lllger is simply the only non Spanish goalkeeper we've ever had to play anything near 50 games. He aight.

Hold on a second, Illger I now recall vaguely. Remember nothing about him though other than name.

Didnt know of Steilke, intresting such a talented sounding radar fell under my radar. Cool team none the less, Makelele is crucial of course.

The Figo-Kopa dynamic is a problem, neither are the type to connect play and could see some issue down that side.

Not sure about Canna, to me he was horrid in a Madrid shirt.

Replaced him with Pepe , but essentially Santamaria is the man for that spot for me, his aerial ability his physicality, we need some of that. Pepe only has the latter but it will do.

I thought I needed some width there to get some balance...Zidane would be a decent fit there , but the truth is he never loved gravitated to the left too much to force him into that role.

We had Didi for a little while tho, Imagine him in there instead of Figo Very Happy.

Yeah, I Didi would of been amazing. Wasnt there long, cant remember the reasons why.

BTW, Panucci is a great shout by Kizu. Underrated defender for sure, was really good in his day.

Di Stefano didnt want to share the spotlight and was pissed off the crowd were cheering for Diddi. He only played 19 games and was ostrascised much like Sahin
