Completely serious, watched every minute of every Barca game this year and Busquets was your 2nd best player.He wasn't amazing for Spain but neither was Xavi with the exception of the final, honestly he was better than Xavi against Portugal so the difference is not huge,

I've seen worse in different areas, Canavaro got it because FIFA felt like rewarding defenders and the hype train came with it, to extend the analogy, Kathryn Bigelow won an Oscar for best director because she was female.

Usually being a keeper doesn't win this award because the entire idea o this award almost disqualifies them, if they're the best player on the team, in all likelihood that team isn't very good.

That's why people are hyping him up , people just want to see a keeper get it, any keeper, the fact that it's someone like Iker adds to that excitement.

I'm not saying it's merited, I'm just saying I wouldn't mind, I mean everyone else in contention has one (or 3) anyway.It's not hurting anyone.

I'll be very honest, I just want to see Iker get it , moreso for what he did in 07 and 08 and even in 09 where we won nothing, and what he did in 02 , moreseo than anything he did this year. He kept more cleansheets and stuff but he wasn't as magical as he was during those times, mostly because our defense is no longer akin to that of a Sunday league team.
