Emilio Izaguirre

He is a honduran leftback that plays for celtic of the spl in his debut season he won all possible individual awards: SPFA Players' Player of the year, Clydesdale Bank SPL Player of the Year, Celtic Players' Player of the Year, and the Scottish Football Writers Player of the Year award.

Now there is reported interest that Manchester United want to sign him, so I have two questions...

First I realize there are prbly not many ppl who have heard of him of those who have what do you think of him?

And Second Man U fans what do you guys think?

Arsenal wanted him last season too.

Every time i have watched Celtic he looked quality and there best attacking threat.But the thing its scottish league where apart from Celtic and Rangers every team is very inferior.

So its very hard to say how good he is.

Yea those are my thoughts exactly... I really wanted to see him in the gold cup but unfortunately he got injured right before it started I do remember that during the world cup he imho was our best player against Spain he kept silva quiet all game

If he does move to the EPL how do you think he will fare?

My mate is a diehard Celtic fan and rates Emilio hugely. If that even counts for anything...

Not sure thb.Cuellar looked great in SPL but struggled for Villa though he is a CB.He atleast needs another season at Celtic where he would play European football before making the step up to PL

From what I saw of him he looked pretty good. Don't know if he will manage to cut into the big stage though

There are reports that he is leaving.He didnt perform well in the last season, and we need a new left back from sources what i read we've been linked to Clichy and other quality LB's.

I think he'll do nicely in La Liga. He's really good going forward but I don't know much about his Defending. Has the potential to become the next Evra as he seems to be the same type of Fullback/Wing Back.

All in all, I rate him. United's gonna be popular in Honduras if he goes.

And Fabio is a left back he can just play on the right aswell( he only plays there when his brother is injured)

Looks good, but I don't see it happening right now.

One, we've still got Evra and Fabio (and the man who can play anywhere, John O'Shea). Two, I doubt we'll spend on a position that isn't really a priority right now. We've signed Jones, Young, De Gea to be announced - really all we need is a CM.

And yes, let's see how he fares in Europe first.

Yea I saw that too and I agree I want to see how he does in the Europa League first and hopefully he will prove himself class

Barca were apparently interested at some point.

Caught him once, looks very lively and energetic, but also good quality on the ball. I am pretty sure he plays midfield for his NT quite often.

Rumoured we have made an official 10M bid for him
