Ganso leaves Santos for Sao Paolo

If I read that right, he's signing for 23.9M Reais for 45% of his rights.

Why did Sao Paulo pay 24 million reais to Santos for 45% of Ganso's rights but ended up keeping only 32%? Does anybody know how that works?

Sao Paulo themselves paid only R$16 million, DIS - the company that holds most of Ganso's rights - helped Sao Paulo with R$7,5 million.

Everybody thinks they were better off WITHOUT Ganso than with him. And I agree 100%.. he's not at the form he was 1 or 2 seasons ago and it wasn't looking too promising for him to return to that level anytime soon at Santos.
