Cristiano Ronaldo should get the Ballon d'or

Just in: Cristiano Ronaldo has received the Ballon d'Or for self-injury.

The way he took that shot I'm not surprised. Imbalance of power to say the least.

Thought he got injuried for the bicycle he tried to do. Bad landing. Even as a BArca fan, can't help to thhink the worst... Hope he is

Its not a dislocated shoulder Jesus Christ kids. If It was a dislocation he wouldn't be able to finish the game. It's just a shoulder sprain. He'll be back within a week.

So if the Ballon d'Or is about scoring against makeshift defenses and be one of the best players in La Liga winning team, Cronaldo should win it. If the award is about best individual performace, Messi should win it. Individually Cronaldo were nowhere near Messi this year.

Ronaldo hasn't scored as many goals as Messi... Therefore Messi has the upper advantage. Ronaldo has an advantage through Madrid's success in the league last season in which Ronaldo made a valuable contribution. It will be a tight contest, no doubt.

Ballon d'or is not really about all that. Journalists and managers and captains are going to vote. i don't think all of them would take all the aspects that you guys are talking about

They would just think , Who is better ? they won't sit down and start comparing each point before deciding and blablabla

anyawys OLpower don't read such posts, regarding ur topic, i personally believe Ronaldo is best player in real madrid and whilst messi is a better player, ronaldo is more complete, (his first goal today showed that he's physical phenomenon, scoring with his weak foot with that power!) so he is more complete...

anyways, balond'or doesn't always go to "best " player, for example 2006 cannavaro won it, but zidane deserved it? and in 2004 schevchenko won it when ronalhinho deserved it... so for his contribution to real madrid and portugal, he deserves it, IMO if it's all fair and just

All jokes aside (yes I was joking about the hair), Iniesta is likely to win it this year. I think in order to avoid any issues with people raging over Messi winning it again or people claiming Ronaldo wasn't as good as Messi and fell short to deliver at the Euros...it would just be easier to give it to the Euro's best player (already won Europes best player award). Plus I do think it's about time a Spanish player wins it, with the historic back to back to back wins for Spain it would be a crime if a Spanish player didn't win it. I think the writing is on the walls Iniesta gets it with Messi/Ronaldo coming in 2nd and 3rd.

How Ronaldo was marked? he got all the space in the world. Twice face to face with goalkeeper. Barca's defense became so terrible its a shame for a team like barcelona. Madrid's defense is 2 levels above, they never let you alone with goalkeeper, they tackle and they fight. they will get red card but they will not give you space

Why does Barcelona blame their defense for Ronaldos goals when Messi's first goal clearly was a big mistake from a Madrid defender(Pepe)

if you think about it Alves cost as much as well and also Silva is established wc defender, not to mention he quickly adapts to any league, he is doing great atm for PSG
