Marcelo is out for 3 months

Real Madrid left back Marcelo has broken his right foot in training with Brazil and will be sidelined until at least the end of the year.

Brazil doctor Rodrigo Lasmar says the defender will be out for at least three months after getting hurt Sunday in Poland, where the team will play Japan in an exhibition Tuesday.

Lasmar says Marcelo's injury may require surgery. The player will return to Spain on Monday to be evaluated by Real Madrid doctors.

Marcelo says he will "be back soon" and that he wants to fully recover in time for the 2013 Confederations Cup that Brazil will host.

Marcelo has been Brazil's starter at left back under coach Mano Menezes, who will not replace him on the squad before Tuesday's match.

Time for Coentrao just prove he is of some use. No excuse possible about playing time, has to prove he can play like he does for Portugal.

Coentrao is also injured for about a month i think. i hate Arbeloa at LB .

I believe we have Dortmund in 10 days but Kuba should naturally focus on marking Ronaldo more than anything else in that game.

Play Ramos as LB and Arbeloa as RB with Pepe and Varane in CB. Mou will need to play two defensive midfielders for caution, though; Khedira and Alonso unless Khedira is injured, too.

Essien played RB in a CL final not too long ago, im sure he'll be able to cover there for RM untill Coentrao is fit again

Essien also had pace at one point in time.

Switch Arbeloa to left back, Ramos to RB and give Varane a few games at CB
