Deportivo vs Barcelona

This game is making my heart melt. Even the most avid Barcelona supporter has to feel for them. Messi is showing once again why the he is a lot more than statistics. I always say that the measure of a great player is by how well he does the intangibles. Great game of football. I watched the first half of the Chelsea and Tottenham game, I could not finish it. La Liga is so far ahead of the curve it's really just unfair to every other league.

Please show some respect. Juventus should not be mentioned in the same breadth as this team. I have looked through some ol threads and the arrogance you Juventus supporters give off, you would think that your team has ben dominating Europe consistently for the last decade. There is no need to be insecure and mention your team all the time in threads that are not of your concern. Honestly, there is so much WUMing in this place I don't understand how poeple get away with things like this.

True. I dont know why people are so obsessed with his stats, the best part of his game is not quantifiable.

Unfortunatley with Tito's new style we are ssure to concede goals. We have never been a great defensive club, and without our regular centrebacks it's even more obvious. The irony is that with central midfielders at our centre backs, we are being less patient from the build up and being more direct up front, losing the ball and allowing counters against us regualrly.

Exactly my thought. The 'score more than the opposition' philosophy is back for catalans it seems.

Today barca were rubbish defensively, let's be honest. If we didn't have such a great attack, I'd be ever so pissed. I mean jordi alba did well to score but depor constantly attacked from their right and got in. And that own goal was wtf??????? Depor did well to keep fighting and not get smashed. But even with the post in the way, messi is the new fk master, hands down.

The only consolation is how depor scored.1st goal, PK. 2nd goal, corner. 3rd goal, FK (awesome fk, BTW) and the 4th goal was an og.

In the future, when barca will get an incorrect referee decision go their way, the mob will come out with their proclamations of conspiracies, but what happened today will be quickly forgotten. Why? Because Barca (Messi) won the game, despite the referee (and shitty defense).

No need to classify all Juve supporters under the same bracket. Some are arrogant and some are not. Generalizing comments like these make the matter worse as they're taken as attacks on an entire community rather than individual posters.

We weren't rubbish defensively, analize a bit more than the goals.

Also, this team is nothing like Rijkaard's Barça that didn't score more than 90 goals in any seasonl.

The game for a neutral like me was great. Barca fans must be pissed off with this defense, although playing with midfielders in the center back is always hard especially when it is someone like Song who has no defensive awareness what so ever, very weird signing when they could have gotten someone like Vertonghen.
But Messi, what a player, his telepathic combo with Cesc, Tello or whoever in the pitch is amazing. Wonderful player. Cesc was very good, one of his finest or I dare say his finest with Barcelona.

That said, ref was rubbish, while La Liga refs are generally rubbish but these guy omg, he seems to hate Barcelona, he tired his best to make Depor win, bullshit pk, fk and red card. Maybe he is one of the forumites from goal legacy real madrid forum:D

A mistake like this that happens once in a while can be forgiven, but it happens way too often.

How is this a penalty, let alone a foul?
