Did you inherit your team?

My parents dont give a damn about EPL let alone football lol.. its all about cricket here!

My Father is a Cruzeiro fan, so I grew up watching games with him and become a fan. My Grandfather is a Athletico Miniero fan and so are a few cousins. The family is divided by Cruzeiro/Athletico. Theres scraps like crazy lol AC Milan is my European team for personal reasons.

I inherited my local team, as for United, I chose and have followed them since I was 8 years old. My big bro is a huge LFC fan too. The rest of my fam and firends follow Arsenal, Milan, Juve and the local teams ands that's it.

my parents, and the rest of my family, hate sports, and they hate my hogging the tv when a big match is on

As per me I my mother is a River fan but she never really supported them so choosing them was a personal choice. I do feel a slight obligation to Torino since my father is a fan, and had posters of the Grande Torino team all over our old house, but to my Italian family has been lobbying with me to become a Juve supporter. I first became acquainted with Barca through my brother, but supporting them was also a personal choice.

Dad is a Bayern fan (he doesn't follow football much these days), but he also has a soft spot for Ferguson. Always gets surprised when I tell him United have lost a league game.

I support may hometown-club, my parents were not born here but moved here and support other teams.

My parents aren't really into sports, unless the game is massive or they would be socially missing out if they did not watch it.

I basically started supporting Arsenal because I liked their players, I was entertained while watching their games, and most of the people I knew were stupid "Man U" fans that clearly knew nothing about their own team but constantly ripped on Arsenal (I found it very hard to side with people like that). Later, when I became more educated about Arsenal's philosophy and what they stood for, I was hooked.

Became a fan of RM in the late 90s. No one in my immediate family supported them, but one of my older cousins was a fan.

Mom and Dad are Chivas supporters. I'm their direct rival.

Started supporting Valencia since 98.

River in 2006 (Though I've been watching glimpses of them since '94)

Monaco in 2011

The rest are just soft spots.

Dad just started supporting Barca 2-3 years ago.

Ajax was ingrained in me - my dad has been going to all of their home matches the last 30 years, and a lot of my other family members are big supporters too.
It'd be a sin not to be an Ajax fan when you live in Amsterdam though.

Real Madrid was my personal choice, although my dad used to appreciate them until Galacticos I. He is a Barcelona fan because of Cruyff, but my continuous hate speech has turned him against them, or well, not against their game necessarily though.

We also both like Liverpool and Arsenal + Hertha BSC.

My mother never liked sports.My father was an Argentina supporter in his youth and was a big Maradona fan.Mostly watch world cup nowadays though and supports them.But not bothered about club football.

As for my rest of my family not sure whether they know football exists at all.Only sport worth watching as far as they are concerned is cricket.I was sort of a weirdo kid in my schooling days who abnormally followed a club/league/sport they never heard.Only after i went to college i met another club football fan.

I'm the only person in my family that follows football so it goes without saying that I'm the only one that supports a club and an Italian one at that.

Two things brought me to Roma: My love for the history of Rome and my uncle who was stationed in Italy for quite a few years back in the mid-90s. He came back with an immaculate glass chess set of different Italian Popes and a Roma jersey. He tried to give me the chess set, but I scoffed at it and took the Roma shirt without a second's hesitation.

I already loved the city for it's rich and vibrant history so when I found out it had a decent football team. I was sold before I even knew it.

my parents, as well as the majority of my family, were born and raised in napoli and are die-hard fans. but my mom has always liked inter too and when i was very young i just took to inter. napoli is my 2nd favorite team though

My family is so diverse. Father, Real Madrid fan. Grandfather, AC Milan fan. Brother, Inter fan. Cousin, Barcelona fan. Another cousin, Juventus fan. Supporting Milan was my personal choice.

My brother is a Barcelona's bandwagoner. my father supports Chelsea.

Nope. But my children will inherit Madrid no doubt.
