I guess, but like I said in my first post - what's the point of putting him there if thats not where he actually plays, you know?

It would be different if it was last year where Suarez actually played on the wing a couple times, but this year (IIRC) he's been pretty much exclusively playing CF, so I don't think it makes sense to put him at RW just for the sake of cramming him into the team

I really didn't want to include Baines...he hasn't been poor, he just hasn't really done anything to impress me - but I couldn't really think of anyone else to put at left back since I couldn't use Clichy or Gibbs...

Santon has been fantastic i'm not just saying it because he plays for us lol.

He's been by far our most consistent and best player this season hasn't put a foot wrong defensively all season.

Everyone else has been injured, crap or inconsistent as hell.

Unless that Taylor is Newcastle's Taylor in which case fair enough but he hasn't played many games.

Before yesterday, Arsenal had still allowed the least goals in the whole league despite having one of the toughest opening schedules out of anyone...

In addition to that, they have only let up more than 1 goal three times this season: against Chelsea, ManU, and Fulham...Neither Jenkinson nor Gibbs played vs ManU or Fulham :coffee:

Btw "big team bias" ?? Whats biased about picking players from the teams that have been performing the best?

Yohan Modric wrote:So why's it possible to rate someone based on clips/hype? hmm

Who said anything about clips/hype? Just because you don't watch every single game doesn't mean you're rating based off that.

So far this season I've seen West Brom play Liverpool, Everton, Fulham, QPR - and like one half of West Brom-Newcastle...With the exception of Fulham (where they were overrun) Mulumbu has impressed in all of them and West Brom are 4th in the table 10 games in...Well worthy of a place

What if he didn't impress in the other games? hmm

I thought about Santon but then I wouldn't have anyone to put at CB, it became a vicious cycle of moving people around to try and fill one position before I just stopped Laughing

The last two choices were tough Mad

Yohan Modric wrote:What if he didn't impress in the other games?

loool, thats unlikely given how well he's played when I've watched, and West Brom's position in the table, but thats just a chance I have to take I guess hmm...There isn't enough time in the day to watch every game of every team, anyone that acts like they do is lying :coffee:

^ I respectfully disagree.

Team of the season = Players who have done Exceptionally well so far. Who've stood out by some margin.

Players that everyweek you check the scores have scored, assissted, influenced the game and result.

without RVP, United would be 13th
without Suarez, we'd be 20th
without Fellaini, Everton would be winless
etc.

Surely Mertesacker has done great and been Arsenal's best CB, but Olsson of West Brom has kept a similar defensive solidarity at his club with inferior Centre back and fullback partners.

That was my whole point

If thats the logic we're using to pick players (which i agree with) Shane Long should at least be on the bench, hes carried WBAs attack all season

Im as happy that West Brom has played well as anyone else, but their schedule so far has been absolute trash...they are going to sink like the titanic as soon as they have to play someone of quality - and on the flip side Arsenal have already played City, United, Chelsea, and Fulham...

Haven't really watched Mulumbu much but I wasn't sure who to put there, and everyone seems to agree he's been great, so I'm stealing that one.

Could also put Suarez instead of Bale and put in RVP where Suarez was. If Dembele didn't get injured he could have had a case here as well.

Laughing Ruiz has played like 5 games in PL this season. Fellaine >>> Ruiz by a long shot. And Suarez >> RVP since he's been doing it with shittier players around him.

yes but RVP has been far more clinical then Suarez

RVP has 8 goals, 2 of them are penalties.

I would play Suarez up front alone and Mata can take those penos. RVP needs to score from the open more to be close to Suarez.
Both have 11 goals in all competitions.

:coffee:

Suarez 65 shots 8 Goals in EPL

Van Persie 34 shots 8 Goals in EPL

Am I the only one who finds Suarez much more impressive because he's doing it with Liverpool/carrying the entire offense on his shoulders?

RVP has been fantastic and more clinical, but Suarez overall impact for Liverpool makes him far and away much better than RVP this season. For me, this season at least, Suarez has been much much better than RVP.

i see you struggle with simple math, RVP strike % is still better then Suarez lol 30 extra attempts and only 2 more goals if you deduct RVP penalties

Suarez scores on about 1 out of 8 shots

RVP scores on 1 out of 5 shots

keep jogging :coffee:
