Ancelotti...
At the same point of the season, Kombouare had 30 points after 13 matchs.
Ancelotti only has 23.
Kombouare was first when he was sacked last year, Ancelotti took over and finished second

Re: Ancelotti...
Well, it's too early to judge.
My eyes are more on Pardew / Newcastle and Hughton / Norwich. The latter sacked by Newcastle to be replaced by Pardew (as we all know), but now those two clubs are tied for points in the Premier League and Hughton currently looking to be doing the better job..

Well they are called IbraSG around here for a reason.

Ancelotti is actually trying new forms of tactics and eliminating weaknesses as given the time and freedom given to him to perfect his system, its no surprise PSG will falter with a consistent basis of changes made. He doesn't go by the shallow "if it ain't broke don't fix it" method that Koumbare did.
Improvements have been made game by game as this is a testament to his perfectionism.

In the context of Koumbare's PSG it is. Mostly because there it was a "passable" system which would get you decent results yet he was sacked due to how utterly predictable his team were in their conventional tactics which didn't really cut it against more ambitious and imaginative tacticians. It could have won him the Ligue 1, but it would kick start to teams further learning his system and thwarting it more effectively then they did the previous time.
Carlo, like Marcelo Bielsa is a maddeningly frustrating tactician due to their utter perfectionism which can tax your team at times. But it pays off in the end.

Re: Ancelotti...
I still believe the sacking of Koumbare was very harsh. They could of gave him until the end of the season imo. He was getting the results needed, and was in a great position to win the league. Carlo going there would of confused the players as they would of had to adapt to his tactics and eventually dropped points and ended up second.

Whatever his pefectionism, I am very please by how he performs at Paris. Everybody was expecting a PSH solo this season, this is not the case at all for the moment.

Re: Ancelotti...
I havnt watched PSG on a consistant basis last year so i'm not sure how good their system was, but i can easily assume that Kombouare wasnt sacked for football reasons as his team was leading.

Leonardo didn't like Kombouare and vice versa. He wanted someone he knew.

Re: Ancelotti...
Ancelotti’s PSG future uncertain
Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that he could leave French giants Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.
Although PSG are top of Ligue 1 and comfortably qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League, the Italian doesn’t know what the future will hold.
“I have a contract until June that includes an option to extend it for another year if we qualify for the Champions League,” he told L’Equipe.
“I want to stay here, but I know that, at the end of the season, the club will decide whether they're happy or not with my work.
“I haven't spoken with the President. We will see how things stand at the end of the season and, if the club is happy, and I am too, we will continue.
“I'm very happy here, but if the club is not happy, I will have no problem changing.”
Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has been linked as a possible replacement for Ancelotti at the end of the campaign.
Ancelotti has openly admitted a desire to boss former club Roma, an outfit that he appeared for as a player.
The tactician has worked for Reggiana, Parma, Juventus and Milan in Italy. He’s also bossed Premiership giants Chelsea.

Re: Ancelotti...
It is very hard to think that Mourinho would want to go in a little club like PSG and in Ligue 1 when he just coached Real Madrid, Inter and Chelsea. I don't trust this rumor a lot.
Ancelotti is currently leading the league, but his team is playing poor football and often relying on individual performance or luck to win matchs. I wouldn't be surprised if he was sacked.

Ancelotti is a better long-term manager imo. i don't see Rabbiot, Sakho ... learning much with Mourinho . He would buy experienced players to bring in instant success. but i guess this is what PSg needs
