Dragan Stojkovic Piksi - The phenomenon that's forgotten
This player gave Red Star Belgrade their first UCL trophy, he was the main engine in X-Yugoslavia's team and one of the key players in era where X-Yu was considered as force in the football. People here and ppl who know him consider him as high as Zidane and Maradone. He made transfer to Marseille and there was the best player but there he was misused to. His teammates for X-Yu and Red Star were : Robert Prosinecki, Savicevic, Vladimir Petrovic, Darko Pancev, Najdovski.
In one word the forgotten phenomenon.
Piksi

Top of Arsene's list for his successor, Wenger is grooming him quietly by giving him tips all the time

According to Wenger his philosophy is the same as him, passing attractive attacking football. Plus Wenger was the one who brought him to Japan, and Dragan has stated his admiration for Wenger is many interviews

I know that, he loves that kind of football because he used to play that kind of football. Here his team was losing and couldn't score he got so angry that he shot the ball in the net from the bench telling them (his players) ' this is how you score'

Who was that at 2:32 that got destroyed in the first video? Gullit? LOL
Looks like he was a very talented player.. Its a shame that Yugoslavia broke up (in a footballing sense of course)

Re: Dragan Stojkovic Piksi - The phenomenon that's forgotten
Don't be fooled because you might not have heard of him, stojkovic was an outstanding player. Really in respect to natural ability he was one of the very best of his generation. When he dribbled passed players he had an incredible sense of where the space was and great timing, kinda like iniesta in the way he made it seem effortless, but he also had a lot of power and acceleration. It's a pity that when he went to Marseille he picked up some bad injuries, more so it's a pity he played in Asia for so long. But his brilliant performances in the European cup for Belgrade against the best teams proved his ability, as well as his international performances. This is a case of circumstances deciding a player's legacy, because he better player than many of the big timers
can't watch the video on the device I'm using, but if he did the splits, then yeah that was gullit He also left baresi and Maldini looking like fools as well, especially baresiSwagg wrote:Who was that at 2:32 that got destroyed in the first video? Gullit? LOL

By not playing at all in their winning campaign in the CL? That part disrespects the likes of Deschamps, Abedi Pele, and Rudi Voller who were the catalysts in the Marseille European Cup win.
Amazing player nonetheless, sux that he left Red Star and a year later they won the EUropean Cup against his team.
