Mata x Ozil

As I say in most AM vs AM comparisons,its hard to judge since both of them are inconsistent.If we are comparing the best of Ozil vs the best of Mata I would say Ozil.I feel like his vision is superior and is much better handling 1v1.If you put a DM on Mata he will ghost and that has always been my beef with Mata,ghosting.He disappears too much during games while Ozil will always be participating even if he isn't performing well.I also think that Ozil works much harder,probably because of Mou

On Mata's defense,he has become a pretty good goalscorer this season

On their best? absolutely Ozil

Both inconsistent but on their day can produce magnificent performances that blows you away. Good freekick takers but Ozil has the better vision, speed and final ball.

At their best i would pick Oezil anyday over Mata.

Superior vision,better passer,dribbler and he's about as equal a goal threat as Mata is.

He has the perfect characteristics of a modern AM now..But when he gets older and starts to lose his agility/pace i think it really wouldnt hurt to play him as a regista as i believe he has the ability to control the flow of the game too like Pirlo does.

Ozil is comfortably better, both are pretty inconsistent though. Mata just doesnt have the raw talent that Ozil does. Also, Ozil has better work ethic, better passer and better dribbling abilities. Also, Ozil has removed the tag of a big game flop since last year. Both players are developing though, but I would take Ozil any day over Mata. In fact, I really cant think of any thing that Mata has over Ozil but then I have stopped watching him consistently since his days at Valencia.

I rate Ozil VERY highly I feel its close, Ozil for me is a better play maker and overall CAM probably.

But I call BULLSHIT on the finishing aspect, Mata >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> in that regard.

again a repeat of what others are saying, but Ozil has better vision and passing for me, and Mata a better goalscorer.

Ozil has better vision, link up player, passing plus he has more pace than Mata. Goal scoring, free kick taking are the only aspects Mata succeeds Ozil

ozil is probably the best counter attacking midfielder in the world, he is athletic, extremely skillfull, intelligent, technically excellent, and makes very intelligent runs .

Mata is an excellent player and is probably on the same level as ozil technically but i think ozils athleticism and skill makes him a better player
