Real Madrid v Manchester United
So great to see our club in the mix this year after last season's disaster. Waited a full year for this.
So which team would you like to see United face in the next round? Which team would you most want to avoid?
For me...I would like to see us face either Celtic, Milan or Porto.
Avoid- Shaktar. That game has banana skin written all over it + they are a very good team too tbf.
Yes I didn't put RM in my avoid list simply because if we turn up, I reckon we could/would beat them. Our form will most likely improve and with RVP gelling even more so by then, we would be a match for anyone.

We'll beat them. It's gonna be a tough game because rm are a top team. But our reckon our attack will be too strong for them n I can see us banging in a few goals away from home. Our defence will be alright once we have vidic back n match fit by feb
As long as we dont play scholes n giggs n have no key injuries, we'll win....I have a good feeling about this. Rm havent been great in the league or cl.
Have confidence. Our players n manager will be well up for this

to be honest Madrid haven't proved anything in CL in years. When's the last time they beaten a big team? I think it was actually when they knocked us out. The latest years they've lost everytime they've met anyone better than Apoel.

Re: Real Madrid v Manchester United
Madrid is beatable. I was just surprised and thought it was quite a rig by UEFA.
Ronaldo going back to OT and a potential successor to SAF with him too is quite a storyline. Trounces everything except maybe Arsenal v Bayern.
And it will be decided by either a Ronaldo / Young dive.
Daily Mail will orgasm over this louder than did Gary Neville or Ray Hudson.

I wish we was playing them tomorrow. I watched them today v Malaga and they looked really poor. A team so disjointed and lacking spirit and commitment. They are all over the place.
Hopefully they bring that form to February.

Yep they were so shit yesterday that I can't bear to watch. Iker was benched.
Wish SAF spends on a midfielder by January and that Madrid continue performing like this when we meet them.

Re: Real Madrid v Manchester United
At first I was happy but we will struggle. The football we are playing is lacklustre. Boring wing play. Both are respective strengths is the others respective weakness. The game will guarantee a bucket load off goals.

Re: Real Madrid v Manchester United
Ronaldo vs RvP...this is indeed interesting to watch.Although i lean on Real Madrid for this fixture.
United have a slight advantage over Madrid in that as group winners they will get to play the second leg at home. But i think it doesn't post much trouble in Ronaldo's side... well, he played years in that turf.

I want another match against Bayern. I still feel we could have won if only Rafael had not been sent off.

Re: Real Madrid v Manchester United
The way we're defending atm...this match is gonna be a basketball score.
I know through out the course of the next 2 months my optimism is going to yo yo up and down.
Right now I feel this match is 50/50. RM may not be in the best of form atm, but they can defenitely score against this weak Utd defence. In fact, any team can atm.
We really need to fix our defensive issues come feb, otherwise we can forget about the CL this season.

Re: Real Madrid v Manchester United
if NC can score 3 goals in Old Trafford, then it's np for RM lol....form is temporary. Mou is an accomplished CL manager. If we dont fix our problems quickly enough, and RVP gets injured or Rooney is off form during that stretch, we'd be lucky to have a 50/50 chance

At the moment I fear the worst. This are going to be the longest 2 legs of SAFs career.

Re: Real Madrid v Manchester United
I feel the complete opposite.
Unless all the madrid player have the same New Year's Resolution... I fear the worst for us.
It will be a great game nonetheless but it can go either we depending on either's team's form at that moment.

Man I can't wait for this. All we need is an away goal. That's all i ask for. a win would be incredible, a score draw would be great. a 2-1 loss would be decent/not disheartening. As long as we keep it tight and manage an away goal...or 2.
Cmon UNITED!!
