Juventus chase £8 million rated Newcastle United target
Both Newcastle and Arsenal have bought wisely from Ligue One in recent years, and a number of reports over the past weeks have claimed the clubs are battling for the signature of Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
Newcastle are believed to be the favourites for the 23-year-old international, but reports from Italy could give cause for fans to worry about the prospective deal.
Corrielle dello Sport is reporting that Juventus are lining up the midfielder as a target, and are keen on signing the Frenchman.
The report says that Toulouse are not willing to sell until June, which contradicts claims Newcastle could sign him in January, and states Juventus are in the 'front row' to sign him.
Arsenal were last week linked with the midfielder with Arsene Wenger ready to give up on injury-prone Abou Diaby.
Sissoko really is an in-demand player, Tottenham also had a £15 million bid rejected for him in 2009.
He would certainly be a big add to any of the club's midfields, with Newcastle arguably needing him the most, with their current injury crisis and Yohan Cabaye ruled out until February.
However Juventus will be able to offer him Champions League football and a chance of Scudetto glory in Italy, which may prove tempting for the midfielder.
