L'Équipe's Team of the Year

Ramires for his performances vs Barca.

Cole for Alba, Ibra for Ramires, Pirlo for Alonso.... and then i'm ok with it lol.

Alba and Ramires have no business being on there.

They have taken only EUROS and CL into criteria whilst forming this team and even in that respect Pirlo deserves to be there.

Two highly contentious inclusions for me are Ramires and Kompany.One has made it to the X1 on account of his performances vs Barca and the other for the pure hype of the Premier League.We all saw how good he was in CL this year

I dont agree with Jessica Alba, horseface Ramos and ma negrito Ramires being in that lineup.

I don't know what the hell this is based on TBH, seems like they just threw the dice on the biggest names they could think of.

I would rather see a functional team rather than a team of the best players. That is what the "World XI" should be all about.

Messi will never play on the right, as he made that very clear to Guardiola. So that team fails. Ramos just invalidates all these lists.

Pepe should be in that list instead of Ramos. He has been far more consistent and tends to keep it that way. No idea what those frencies saw about Lahm and Alba to be considered in team of the year.

I can' believe you guys don't see Silva as the best CB in the world. He is miles ahead of everyone... really not close.

Falcao > Chelsea. Banging in 4 vs. the CL winners > Losing in the CWC Final

On topic though, if L'equipe's team of the year is only registering matches played in the Euro and CL, then I guess its not too big a joke. But if they aren't then LOL at no Falcao or Ibra up front.

Not really. He's easily the best CB in the world but he really didn't do anything particularly remarkable this year.

ok I got it now. strongly disagree about Pepe and Ivanovic being better last season though.

Pirlo definately deserves to be there. I don't see what all the hype is around Alonso... As a lone DM, he would suck balls every single day of the week which would mean alot of work for Xavi/Iniesta to defend. Pirlo would do marginally better in that position and his performance this season has proved his spot... Alba only gets there because of Euro. Cole or Marcelo (though Cole) at LB anyday. Ramires at RW is a joke... Drogba or Ibra up front though that would mean Messi on RW, making him look like a twit against any opposition...
